Football has now evolved. Top teams are not built in a season or transfer window (no matter the signings). To build a top team in this competitive football era especially in Premier league, you need a top coach/manager to be given time & tools, patience and good transfer windows.

@AhmanUmar The issue with his tactics is just defensively. Though I am still not convinced that Xabi is an upgrade on Maresca. Our attacking prowess is largely individual brilliance rather than tactics. But take nothing away from him, he is a good manager but not a better coach than Maresca

I posted this when we were 3-0 up, only for us to concede seconds later and somehow go on to concede 3 goals from a three-goal lead. As dangerous as our counter-attacking is this season, Xabi Alonso has to fix that backline. If we do, it could be a very interesting season.
