Today, @SenBlumenthal and I introduced the Save the Kurds Act.
I believe that there is strong bipartisan support for the idea of protecting the Kurds in Syria and beyond because they have been such a reliable ally to the United States. The SDF – with a large Kurdish element – took the brunt of the fight to defeat ISIS in President Trump’s first term.
I realize Syria is complicated culturally, ethnically and politically. However, attacking the Kurds greatly diminishes the United States’ standing and will hinder Syria’s ability to grow as a country.
To those countries or groups who believe it is open season on the Kurds in Syria without consequence, you will be sadly mistaken.

Today in Parliament at PMQs, I raised urgent concerns about the escalating violence and humanitarian crisis in north-east Syria.
I spoke about the deep sense of abandonment felt by Kurdish communities who fought bravely against ISIS...

Well done to @FeryalClark for raising the plight of Kurds in Rojava & calling upon the government to press the Syrian government to adhere to the March 2025 agreement & to providing protection & security to the Kurds, recognising their major contribution to defeating Isis.
There is strong and growing bipartisan interest in the U.S. Senate regarding the deteriorating situation in Syria. There is strong consensus that we must protect the Kurds who were there for us in destroying the ISIS caliphate, as well as many other groups.
The powers of the Senate are real. Stay tuned.
‼️UPDATE: NEW VIDEO RELEASED OF KIDNAPPED KURDISH WOMEN
New footage shows two young Kurdish women taken captive by militias linked to Ahmed al-Sharaa.
The video was filmed and released by the captors themselves.
They are not hiding it. They are proud.
And still, the world is silent.
Stay connected, follow @MOSSADil
ISIS groups allied with the Damascus government subjected one of our fighters to severe torture after capturing him in the village of Al-Harijiya, north of Deir ez-Zor, and then carried out his execution. These brutal scenes are presented to the public and the media so the world can see and understand the true nature of these groups and the crimes they commit.
It should be noted that these terrorists themselves published the video of this crime on their own social media pages.
@USAMBTurkiye The regime you are trying to whitewash—namely Colani and other jihadist groups—are ISIS and its remnants. By allying yourselves with them, you are showing that you have no respect even for yourselves. History will not forgive you.
@USAMBTurkiye The Kurds will never accept the surrender you are imposing and will resist to the very end; and you, just as you were defeated in Afghanistan, are doomed to be defeated in the Middle East.
