Stop Killing Games says it will try again with 'the funding to do this properly'

Behind the scenes vs the actual movie btw
Anyone saying "It's realistic" is using a dumb excuse. The locations they filmed this in are vibrant and colorful. They intentionally desaturated the movie.
Sony’s stock rose more than 3% after the company announced it will stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs starting in January 2028.
Apparently, investors see the move as a way for Sony to increase profits, as selling games digitally eliminates the costs.
Sony said nearly 80% of full-game sales on PS4 and PS5 are already digital, up from 13% when the PS4 launched in 2013.
I don't think they will walk back on this decision even with all the backlash.
The PS4 Days will be forever missed
- Themes
- Locked in on Single Player Titles
- All consoles with a disc drive & option for Physical Discs
- Reasonable Console Prices
- Had way more exclusives
- Focus was on just games
Take us back…
It's a legitimate tragedy how this show ended up. From one of the most exciting debut seasons, one of the most engaging ARGs I've ever seen (on par with Cloverfield and TDK) and a sterling cast to just one season later an absolute shitshow that never recovered.
the fact that Sony doesn’t just let you redownload EVERY PS3-era PSN game you own is criminal
the PS5 is more than capable of running them all
they are just holding your purchases hostage for no reason
This is part of why they're killing physical games. Now they can charge full price for 10+ year old games. This makes games more expensive. Even if you wait for sales, it often won't get as cheap as buying it used. This is what we have to look forward to when they go all digital.
The equipment was sold off. The staff scattered. the royalties denied. Their competitors frozen out by re-releases. There are techniques in these films we flat out cannot replicate anymore.
Many of the people who knew how are either left the industry, or passed away.
So last month when McConnell was rushed to hospital he was unconscious.
He’s not been heard from since and his staff won’t even confirm if he’s still in hospital, or a prognosis.
… are they just trying to wait out his term to avoid a special election?
