Today is Curiosity Camp at @FLBulldogs! Students have identified an area of interest and are answering a question that they are wondering about. Students will then share out their discoveries with each other and theyโre grown-ups at home through @Seesaw! โบ๏ธ๐ง
Fall time can only mean one thing in 2nd grade EastโฆSTARBOOKS! Today we practiced what weโve learned so far in reading by hosting a Starbucks themed book tasting. This is a favorite event of students every year. We had fun learning in coffee shop vibes this morning. โ๏ธ๐
Special thanks to Lainey and Dawson from Mrs. Hoyโs class for giving me the classroom tour and sharing a day in the life of their classroom. go@ahoysecondgrade
Pop the pumpkin! ๐ This past week we practiced being scientists with pumpkin investigations. We used our knowledge of place value to count the seeds in a pumpkin, counted all the way to 350 as we put on the rubber bands, and made observations/predictions as we went. ๐ฅ
I like to share short videos with parents of my students to show them what our day to day is like. It also gives them an opportunity to see in real time what we are learning and how we talk about it. Check out todayโs vocabulary conversation. ๐๐
This awesome bulldog wrote positive affirmation for his classmates and brought them in to handout. He stuck them on everyoneโs lockers as social surprise when they come in the morning. This guy is really showing his bulldog pride! #BeKind
The first Friday in October can only mean one thing for @FLBulldogs 2nd grade, Hale Farm! We had the best day discovering what life โlong agoโ was like. From a blacksmith to a log cabin, it was as if we traveled back in time. Thank you @HaleFarm for having us!
๐ถ Take a look, itโs in a book ๐ถ

Instead of โStar Studentโ this year, I rebranded it to โGolden Goose.โ Meet Gertrude, she thinks a lot about how awesome our students are in room 306. Each week students will fill out Gertyโs thought bubble and design an outfit for her. Itโs silly, but we love it.
