Ahren Lester

Wolfson Foundation-funded PhD Candidate in History at the University of Southampton studying Alfred Russel Wallace (#histsci). Opinions my own.

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@virbeatum Sounds excellent. Will keep an eye out for it! Do you know the predicted publication date?

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@virbeatum My pleasure. What are you working on that you need that for? Sounds intriguing...!

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@virbeatum Checked my notes. It's in "My Life", v.2, p.351. He writes "My children were duly vaccinated." His youngest child was born 1871.

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@virbeatum Yes, he states that he vaccinated them in his autobiography. It is at the start of his 'Anti-Vac Crusade' chapter in vol. 2.

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@aardvark_a21 I will have a look into the not working email. I wonder why that is!

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@aardvark_a21 Haha, pretty neat. Really nice idea! In 2009 there was a full graphic novel of Darwin's life. Quite good.

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@virbeatum Sorry, only just seen your message! Yes, he did get all his children vaccinated. However, he was still a pro-v then!

@oliverjlodge Excellent I will keep an eye out. The last one was right up my street. This one a little less so. Still interesting!

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@carltonreid @DigiVictorian Looks good so far! Looking forward to it, got my email in there for updates in the meantime!

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

@carltonreid @DigiVictorian That reminds me, Carlton, is your roads book out yet? I remember the kickstarter project whilst at Intent Media.

[Ahren Lester @ahrenlester]

Reason for @swtrains delay? "Lost the driver". Genuinely hilarious even though it ruins my journey schedule.
