4 hour journey to Clare, venue changed at 12pm for a 2pm game, no dressing room before the game or hot showers afterwards… not usually one to give out but really not good enough. @OfficialCamogie
@Jskehill01@SmallerFishGAA James, you’re engaging with a man who goes after young players to make money. It was Screeney before this. It’s McCarthy this year. He’s trying to appeal to Cork fans. Controversy is his method so people will pay to hear what he says. He’s lying that McCarthy’s time is double
@PCarrollSport@SmallerFishGAA@DLynchSport You have basically conceded the key point. The time is around 20 seconds like everyone else. So the booing is not about time taken, it is about a story and a perception. In that case, the weird part is saying he should change the routine to avoid negative attention.
@PCarrollSport@SmallerFishGAA@DLynchSport You can’t say it’s just perception while also platforming timing threads from someone posting “hopefully the Cork crowd get on his back.” That’s not analysis, that’s feeding the crowd dynamic you’re now calling perception.
@PCarrollSport@SmallerFishGAA@DLynchSport If it’s just optics, then it’s not a reason to centre an amateur player as a weekly talking point. Talk about a universal time-wasting standard, and leave the crowd-baiting angle out of it. Saying something is “bound to wind up opposition fans” is exactly how pile-ons work
@PCarrollSport The smaller fish podcast won’t let it go. Too many subs from Cork I’d say. Parkinson also saw only one goalie in the melee. Amazing that 😂
@madabouthurling@IrishWebHQ@SmallerFishGAA If the timing doesn’t support the outrage, repeatedly pushing it is just turning a Cork forum gripe into a weekly bit because it sells subs to one of the big audiences. Cork. That’s content, not serious analysis. A young amateur gets all the boos while a professional gets paid
@PCarrollSport They were booing him before he even got to the pitch. Some compliment to be that good of player to be in their heads before he even steps foot on the pitch!
