Which is why it would be a mistake for One Nation to bundle the abortion stance back in. 

Australia is one of the most secular countries in the West. “No religion” went from 0.3% in 1947 to 38.9% in 2021. Christianity fell from 61% to 44% in a single decade (2011–21). There just aren’t enough religious conservatives left to build a coalition on. Even One Nation’s own voters prove it. Asked about abortion access only 9% say no outright. 50% say yes, 34% say yes in limited circumstances, 84% support access in some form. 

Meanwhile, One Nation has gone from 6.5% to 28% support in 13 months and immigration and institutional distrust is the concern driving that growth.  Pushing anti-abortion policy now would put One Nation at odds with 84% of its own voters.
