BREAKING: Donald Trump horrifies environmentalists by proposing that a jaw-dropping 13 million acres of government-owned Arctic land be opened up for destructive oil and gas drilling.

MAGA is handing the planet over to fossil fuel companies on a silver platter...

The land in question is part of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska and it was previously restricted from oil and gas drilling by President Biden. Of course, Trump insists that climate change is a "Chinese hoax" so he has absolutely no qualms about destroying the planet.

"The National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska was set aside to support America’s energy security through responsible development," stated Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who is himself ludicrously wealthy, meaning that he and his loved ones will be insulated from the worst effects of climate change.

"The 2024 rule ignored that mandate, prioritizing obstruction over production and undermining our ability to harness domestic resources at a time when American energy independence has never been more critical. We’re restoring the balance and putting our energy future back on track," Burgum added, giving the usual MAGA spin.

As any honest expert will tell you, the Biden administration was right to protect this land from drilling. By opening it back up, Trump is endangering grizzly and polar bears, caribou, numerous types of birds, as well as the humans that live in the area. He's trading short term corporate profits for the long term health of the Earth.

Tragically, this disastrous development was entirely predictable. Trump was caught during the 2020 campaign meeting with oil executives at Mar-a-Lago to cut a corrupt bargain. He promised them that they'd be getting a "deal" if they donated $1 billion to help him get elected. Now they're getting that "deal" and the rest of us are suffering the consequences.
