I am unable to tell you how many times per week I report litter to @CityofCT in Sea Point. This reference of 9121623841 now greets us in abundance. Does anyone know anyone who knows @geordinhl who can advise what more I can do than my daily reporting on the App.
@CityofCT@aiBester@geordinhl Can you please share why you're not following up or pushing it up the line, seeing as there's a reference number? Also please share what the city cleaning fee is for that we're forced to pay?
@ConciergeSA@CityofCT@geordinhl The specific bag has been left there for more than a week. We all try to pick up what we can every day. Nearby bins are overflowing. More needs to be done by city for regular cleaning. As the name of our special tax suggests
Still waiting. Also no headsets available on this @flysaa either as suppliers did not provide they say. So we sit on silence and stare at the screens and await approval to depart.
Hi @geordinhl, could we please focus on making the N2 a safer route in 2026. We see all the lovely things your team is doing, but many of us are literally risking our lives daily going to work.
We need action ASAP.
Spokesperson for City of Cape Town Law Enforcement, Wayne Dyason, says the man seen in a viral video has handed himself in. In the footage, a man believed to be a tourist guide is seen picking up the littered item and returning it to the driver, who then allegedly opens his car door and litters again. Littering is an offence in South Africa, with City of Cape Town by-laws providing for fines of up to R10,000 or imprisonment of between six months and two years. #Newzroom405

We're seeking the public's help to identify two people in a viral video.
A motorist tossed litter from their vehicle at an intersection in the CBD.
A tour guide approached, picked it up, and returned it – but the driver threw it out again and gave obscene gestures to the tour bus occupants 😡.
Littering's an offence under South Africa's environmental laws.
The driver could face a fine, and their vehicle might be impounded.
We need info on:
- The tour guide who tried to intervene
- The motorist in the video.
If you know anything, call us anonymously on 021-480 7700 or email [email protected].
