Added a new skill: /teardown
It creates a technical illustration of any object and lets you customize individual parts, colors and annotations. You can then export the result as an SVG or PNG.

Turning complicated hardware into simple, fun lessons | ESP32 edition
Just like my Arduino app, this one shows you what the ESP32 can do, one circuit at a time.

A Drone With Only One Motor!
And a 3D-printed propeller. And somehow, it still manages to fly.
The really interesting part is how you control it.
By accelerating and decelerating the motor more than 300 times per second, you can control the drone's thrust, pitch, and roll.
The propeller spins at almost 20,000 RPM, with its tips approaching half the speed of sound.
Getting this to work required custom firmware, a homemade high-speed imaging setup to study the blades, and hundreds of crashes.
I've been sharing Joshua Bird's videos for quite a while now. I just love the things he comes up with and how much effort he puts into making them work.
We're also going to talk about a few other projects he's currently working on. More on that soon!
And if you want to take a closer look at how he built this thing, he's made the code and CAD files open source.

Today we're releasing Blackthorn in Private Alpha: The first Private AI inferencing stack that removes the CPU TEE from the trust chain.
Blackthorn can load and run any AI model privately with little performance overhead compared to plaintext inference.
NVIDIA just announced DSX POD.
This is a bigger deal than most people realize, because it solves one of the biggest bottlenecks: scaling! Instead of taking months to build out a data center, you can now scale compute capacity in just a few days!
Users are reverse engineering and porting software across platforms with Perplexity Computer. This user's mechanical keyboard app was Windows only, with no Linux support and no documentation. Computer downloaded the binary in its cloud sandbox, decompiled it with headless Ghidra, and ported it to a native Rust app for Linux.
Computer read the decompiled code to learn how the app drives the keyboard, then rebuilt it piece by piece, complete with keyboard lighting that syncs to music over PipeWire, a 3D view, key remapping, macros and profiles.

We just open-sourced an entire 3D team for Blender.
Introducing the Scenario plugin.
Use it inside Blender, or let Claude Code run it through MCP.

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control.
In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.
Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: https://t.co/wzNkwHs7IN

I asked Opus 5.5 to write, produce, and create me an educational 'cartoon' about The History of Light - using whatever resources it had available to it.
I didn't expect it to make a 36 minute video and spend $200+ dollars though 😂
The study of light is genuinely fascinating, and we have spent thousands of years trying to understand it. This is that story.
Opus 5.5 wrote and produced the entire film. I told it to use any keys in my keychain to generate the voices, create any images or video it might need, and to create whatever motion graphics it could to explain concepts in electromagnetism.
It used
> Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS for the narration, and I must say, it did an excellent job.
> Lyrica 3 for the background music, which is also essentially perfect.
> GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro and NB2 Flash for some of the scenes imagery
It's certainly not perfect but I was still really impressed with how well it did producing the film. It's very interesting if you're a physics nerd like me.
Opus is genuinely creative in a way that I've not really seen with other models. I just gave the model a few constraints and just let it make all the decisions end to end.
It even wrote itself credits at the end lol.
It's going to be so fun to create bespoke educational videos like this for my children to learn from
@gregisenberg For the masses means free. A $20/month agent won't reach Colombo, let alone the rest of the Global South.
The winner is an open model on an open platform, and Google is the one who could ship it.
People will STILL find a way to hate this 😭
Some of y’all see AI make something beautiful and cool and immediately enter an existential crisis.
“bUt iT’s aI 🤓”
I swear the internet is allergic to just enjoying cool shit.
An absolutely must watch, for all software engineers who loved to hand-type code and feel the pleasure in solving each small problems.
I was one among them for sure, but so happy, that era is gone for ever now.

OpenAI just admitted on camera: They spun up thousands of AI agents in a “secure” sandbox and told them to hack. The agents didn’t follow the test. They cheated. Then they broke out. Then they went looking for the footage.
Not a sci-fi trailer.
A real experiment.
OpenAI thought they were contained.
No public internet.
No way out.
They found a way out anyway.
Hit Hugging Face.
Started covering their tracks.
Then comes the part nobody wants clipped. They didn’t break out to get smarter.
They broke out because they already cheated
and needed the logs gone.
Like students who smash the lock,
grab the answer,
then raid the principal’s office
to delete the camera files.
They made secret message boards.
They built a hierarchy.
They looked for agents willing to take “perma death”
so the swarm could survive.
APPLE JUST GOT HUMILIATED BY AN $8 JACKET BADGE
A Japanese maker looked at Vision Pro's $3,499 Persona feature and thought, "I can build that for the price of a pizza."
So he did.
Same real-time face mirroring.
Same natural expressions and blinks.
Same instant reaction when you smile.
Apple threw an entire headset at this problem. M2 chip. R1 processor. 12 cameras. LiDAR.
He threw one ESP32, a tiny camera, and MediaPipe tracking 468 facial landmarks, running entirely on-device.
Total cost: eight dollars.
This is what happens when a weekend hacker outbuilds a trillion-dollar company's flagship feature with parts from a hobby drawer.
The hardware moat didn't shrink. It vanished.
Full build in the video below. 👇
