De mi mayor consideración:

Por medio de la presente quiero presentar mi renuncia irrevocable al PRO, partido que tuve el honor de fundar junto a vos hace más de veinte años.

No es fácil escribir estas líneas. Una parte importante de mi vida está unida a la historia del PRO. Compartimos el sueño de construir una nueva forma de hacer política, basada en la honestidad, la cercanía, la vocación de servicio y el respeto por las instituciones. Desde ese sueño asumí responsabilidades que marcaron mi vida y puse siempre lo mejor de mí para honrar la confianza que el partido y la sociedad depositaron en mí.

Justamente por haber sido parte de esa construcción, siento hoy la obligación moral de ser coherente con aquellos valores fundacionales.

Desde hace ya un tiempo me cuesta reconocer en muchas decisiones del partido el espíritu que nos dio origen. No se trata de diferencias tácticas, ni de matices propios de cualquier fuerza política. Se trata de una distancia cada vez mayor entre los principios que decimos defender y las decisiones que finalmente adoptamos.

Mi enfermedad me obligó a mirar la vida desde otro lugar. Me enseñó que el tiempo es demasiado valioso para vivir en contradicción con la propia conciencia. También me confirmó una convicción que atraviesa Liderazgo espiritual: el verdadero liderazgo no nace del poder ni del éxito electoral; nace de la coherencia entre los valores que proclamamos y las acciones que elegimos cuando esos valores son puestos a prueba.

En ese camino de reflexión fui comprendiendo que permanecer en el partido implicaba aceptar silencios y decisiones con las que ya no podía identificarme.

La protección brindada a Manuel Adorni fue, para mí, el hecho que terminó de hacer evidente esa distancia. No porque crea que una persona defina el destino de un partido, sino porque las organizaciones revelan su verdadera identidad en aquello que deciden justificar, tolerar o defender. Cuando la conveniencia política comienza a pesar más que la responsabilidad ética, el liderazgo pierde su sentido más profundo.

No escribo estas palabras desde el enojo ni desde el resentimiento. Siento un profundo agradecimiento por el camino recorrido, por las oportunidades que recibí y por tantas personas valiosas con las que compartí este proyecto. Conservo intacto el afecto por quienes, desde distintos lugares, siguen creyendo de buena fe en el PRO.

También mantengo hacia vos un sincero reconocimiento por haber impulsado un espacio que cambió para siempre el mapa político argentino y permitió que muchos encontráramos un lugar desde donde servir al país.

Pero hay momentos en los que la fidelidad a una organización no puede estar por encima de la fidelidad a la propia conciencia. Permanecer, para mí, sería dejar de vivir de acuerdo con aquello que intento enseñar y transmitir.

Por eso doy este paso con serenidad, sin estridencias y sin rencores. Mi compromiso con la Argentina permanece intacto. Seguiré trabajando, desde donde Dios me permita hacerlo, para promover una cultura política que entienda el poder como servicio, la verdad como un deber y la dignidad de cada persona como el centro de toda decisión.

Deseo sinceramente que el PRO pueda reencontrarse con el espíritu que inspiró su nacimiento. Porque los partidos políticos, como las personas, solo perduran cuando tienen el coraje de volver una y otra vez a los principios que les dieron vida.

Festejan que los salarios subieron 36,9% interanual. Aplausos.
Lo que no cuentan: desde que asumió Milei, el salario mínimo perdió casi un 40% de poder de compra. El sueldo sube en el papel y pierde contra todo lo demás.
Y el "empleo" que muestran es trampa: lo que crece es el trabajo en negro. Sumaron 500.000 personas más sin aportes, sin obra social, sin jubilación. Cobrando la mitad que un registrado.
Más gente trabajando peor, ganando menos y sin futuro.
Así no, muchachos. El programa económico no funciona.

🇧🇫🍅 Burkina Faso is living the tomato revolution right now under President Ibrahim Traoré. This landlocked nation, where 80% of the people farm, still imported most of its rice while watching mountains of its own tomatoes—over 300,000 tons a year—rot by the roadside. No processing capacity meant raw commodity sold cheap or wasted, while the government paid out to import canned paste from Europe and China. That was the colonial trap working exactly as designed.

Traoré crushed it. In November 2024, the SOBTO facility fired up in Bobo-Dioulasso: six tons of fresh tomatoes per hour, nearly 100 tons daily. Then came the SOFATO plant in Yako. These aren’t aid projects or IMF loan deals. They were built through popular shareholding—ordinary Burkinabè at home and in the diaspora buying in, community capital, coordinated with the state. 100% Burkinabè-owned. Over 10,000 indirect jobs. They even banned fresh tomato exports to feed the processors first. Now rivers of Sahel-grown tomatoes move down local conveyor belts, crushed, canned under local brands, hitting domestic shelves and crossing into Ghana. Not aid. Trade. The beginning of real regional food power.

This is sovereignty in action: seeds in the ground, water systems engineered even near the Sahara, soldiers turned farmers, gold revenues redirected to the people instead of parked in Western banks. No begging. As Traoré put it, those who beg are always at the bottom. Burkina Faso stopped begging.

That fight is the exact same battle raging inside America’s soul since before 1776. No colony—whether the Americas or India—was ever meant to have industry. London’s system was brutally clear: the Navigation Acts, the Iron Act, and the deliberate smashing of India’s textiles. You grow the cash crops, dig the minerals, and ship raw materials out. We keep the factories, the machines, the profits, and the power. The center stays developed; the periphery stays dependent cash-crop colonies. Forever.

America’s Revolution wasn’t just about tea and stamps. It was a revolt against being locked into that raw-supplier role for eternity. Alexander Hamilton, Henry Carey, and the American System fought to build America’s own industry, protect America’s productive powers, and reject permanent colonial status. That argument never ended. It’s still the soul of America today: Hamiltonian nation-building that develops industry and sovereignty for Americans and others, versus the British imperial logic that keeps everyone else underdeveloped so the few can extract.

What Traoré is doing in Burkina Faso is a direct continuation of that revolutionary spirit. He’s asserting the right of any nation to process its own resources, climb the value ladder, and own its future. It’s a living repudiation of the neo-colonial dogma that tells the Global South to stay poor on purpose. When Burkina Faso builds its own plants with its own capital and turns tomatoes into national wealth, it proves the old imperial model is a lie.

This is why Burkina Faso’s tomato revolution matters to America. It forces the choice America has faced since the founding: Will Americans stand with the tradition that builds industry and sovereignty everywhere, or drift back into the British model of managed dependence? The most American revolution happening in the world today is unfolding in Ouagadougou. It shows exactly which side of America’s soul must be chosen—the one that builds, or the one that keeps colonies begging for scraps.
