@SalzigeKane Here's the fun part. I don't. As the one that doesn't want force used on businesses doing nothing wrong I hold the negative stance. As the one making the positive claim you need to prove it with stats that show it actually helps. Also account for increased unemployment
@SalzigeKane Slavery is only good for business on the frontier. Slaves are expensive to feed, house, maintain, keep working and chase down. And would have fallen apart if laws didn't force people who don't own those slaves to chase them down. Most benefit from workers maintaining themselves.
@SalzigeKane This is an evil sentiment that kills needed industry which makes life harder for both small businesses and workers. There are a great many jobs that need doing that cost too much too exist under a minimum wage. Small cleaning jobs for example.

Minimum wage kills jobs. Those that lose work the most are the low educated and the migrant. People most businesses would want to test before employing. But they can't because they can't pay them cheap.
@witherdfoxy@shanedk There are artists that scream and throw tantrums over people copying their style and methods. And the core response they get is that a style is not something you can protect. When you post your work publicly your work will influence others. If you don't like that don't post it.
@witherdfoxy@shanedk Except its well accepted that inspiration is acceptable practice for artists to do. The way AI training works is not unlike inspiration as both work off pattern recognition. Any argument against AI in this direction can also be used to argue that inspiration is theft.
Things Blender MCP can do, with Claude or any other AI (even locally-downloaded):
Cleaning up scene naming - Renaming all of the file's data blocks (tons of which probably have default names; we've all been there) so that it matches the contents, flagging any that might be misleading to the artist.
Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Rename them all yourselves or you're STEALING FROM ARTISTS!!!"
Explaining node groups - Go through GeoNodes and organize them, explaining what each group does as the data flows through them, making sense of the spaghetti we all have made from time to time (seriously, the number of times Future Shane was flummoxed by what Past Shane was thinking...).
Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Leave it the confusing mess OR YOU'RE MAKING AI SLOP!!!"
Optimizing - Finding the objects in the scene with the greatest poly budget relative to their screen space so you can easily identify and optimize your VRAM and rendering times.
Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! Count the polys yourself individually or YOU'RE NOT A REAL ARTIST!!!"
Fix my armature, find the bad normals, check for non-manifold meshes, find objects without materials, fix my typos, get rid of absolute paths...
Anti-AI neo-Luddites: "NOOOO!!! We have to make sure Blender artists spend all their time doing this THEMSELVES!!! They don't get to spend their time on things that are actually CREATIVE!!!"
Seriously, what is wrong with these people? And why are they all completely 100% ignorant of what the Add-on does and how it works?
Because THEY'RE NOT HERE FOR BLENDER. They're here because someone posted a link in whatever Discord or Telegram group or wherever their backchannel propaganda group is, to come and try and take down AI whenever they can.
This is astroturfing, plain and simple. PLEASE do not think these people speak for artists!
Hey @RepDeborahRoss, as a North Carolinian, I think we deserve to know: Why did you LIE THROUGH YOUR EYE TEETH and say that @AnthropicAI lost its lawsuit when it absolutely did not? In fact, the judge said that it was "quintessential" fair use, "spectacularly so"!
I learned a valuable lesson about fashion that day...
"Of course I couldn't fit something like that in my mouth!...Wait, my shirt?...Look it's just a gag gift a friend gave me!...Wait...wait!"
@LFTH_Alex@andrewpprice Actually that's the alignment you are taking. All the arguments against gen AI are the same tired arguments used against photography, Photoshop and if you go back far enough even the written word. Its just ludditism pushed by elitists that don't want competition from new mediums.
@ToweringCrane@shanedk@TheProjectUnity Because its literally you who has the burden of proof. Are you going to provide evidence or can I wight you off as a deranged moron that believes bond movies are real?
@ToweringCrane@shanedk@TheProjectUnity Actually it is your job in a debate to provide the evidence for your argument. What you are doing is shifting the burden of proof onto me. That's a fallacious tactic. If you can't back up your argument then your argument is worthless and can be rejected.
@ToweringCrane@shanedk@TheProjectUnity Homework fallacy. Once again if the evidence is so obvious give me it. Its not my job to make your argument for you. You pressing this in with ad hominems just tells me you can't find it yourself and are just trying to bullshit me.
@ToweringCrane@shanedk@TheProjectUnity You have yet to provide any evidence. We are in a debate. It is not my job to make your argument for you. If you have evidence show me the damn evidence.
@ToweringCrane@shanedk@TheProjectUnity And? That doesn't prove the things showing up are devices and not, yah know, birds. Riddle me this. If the military is hiding this tech shouldn't they be able to identify it? Why would they even file UFO reports if the flying objects are identifiable.
