@kn0nker @andrewpprice 's donut tutorial is usually a good place to start learning, if you have no idea where to begin.

@kn0nker Just start with the basics. You can definitely do all those things but yeah, that tutorial assumes you already know how to use Blender. It's a bummer. There's also Grease Pencil in Blender now, so you can also animate in 2D if you wanted. Just some more options to explore!
