DAY #2 of TUFF camp!!
Yesterday campers worked on their biomechanics, did a hill workout, and played TUFF’s beloved Human Tic Tac Toe. Finishing off the night, campers spiritually trained on knowing God personally.
Smiles all around!
Day #1 of AIA’s TUFF camp was a success!
TUFF camp works with high school track & field athletes to grow their spiritual, mental, and physical life. Campers moved in yesterday and had some time to run and get to know the other students through games and spiritual talks.
Today’s the day!
A bit rainy this afternoon but looks like we are going to get a break in the rain for the meet. We can’t wait for some good races, fast times, and hopefully to see the fastest mile on Ohio soil!

Thanks to the folks at @themile for pointing out to us that the official mark to beat is 3:56.56, ran by José Manuel Abascal (ESP) in 1984. See you all tonight!

@guardianmile@OsikaShannon As of now just the men, as we haven't been able to find a solid mark to go after for the women. We are having a women's 1500m race though.
EXCITING NEWS!
On June 9th we are going after the fastest mile on Ohio soil. 2-time Olympic medalist Nick Willis, and Ohio native Daniel Michalski are a couple of the guys going after it. Current mark stands at 3:57.15 by Tom Byers in 1983. We still have room for 4-6 more guys.
