J&K Tourism is set to host the Kashmir Travel Mart-2026 on 14–15 April, bringing together around 250 stakeholders from over 20 States across the country.

The event will highlight the region’s immense tourism potential through craft safaris, curated destination tours, and B2B engagements, offering stakeholders a rich and immersive experience of Kashmir’s culture, heritage, and warm hospitality.

A significant initiative aimed at strengthening tourism linkages and further positioning Kashmir as a premier global travel destination.

Chief Minister today inaugurated Tulip Show–2026 at the Tulip Garden, Srinagar and took a tour of the garden. This year, around 18 lakh tulips of over 70 varieties, along-with nearly one lakh other bulbous flowers including daffodils, hyacinths and narcissus, have been planted, adding vibrant colours to the valley’s spring landscape.

The Chief Minister appealed to tourists from across the country and around the world to visit Jammu & Kashmir during the spring season and experience its unmatched natural beauty.

Of my countless tripe to Kashmir and Gulmarg, I finally managed to ski after 36 long years.

Back in the day I have skied for 10 straight years, every winter for three months.

We would climb up at 5 am to Khilanmarg, Beta and Upper Beta and ski down. Or go up Monkey Hill and ski down and of course ski down to Babareshi and then hitch a ride back to Gulmarg.

If you can make time in winters and you should, come to Gulmarg, join a Ski course, learn skiing and you will never be sad again.

And folks who know how to ski, Gulmarg provides the best there can be in terms of snow, ski runs, gradient and off piste.
