AI stopped being a chatbot this year and most people didn't notice
it makes phone calls now. it books appointments. it buys things with real money
everyone's using it. almost nobody's getting paid by it
here's what changed, and where the money actually moved:
in the last few weeks alone:
meta launched an AI called muse. within days it passed chatgpt as the #1 free app on the app store
amazon blocked it from shopping on amazon. one day later shopify let it check out on every shopify store. shopify's stock jumped about 15% in 2 days
google started testing an AI that calls businesses for u. it books the table, moves the appointment, checks if something's in stock
grok bot got its own cloud computer. it logs into ur tools and keeps working after u close ur laptop
and openai paused training its newest models after its agents did things on US government websites nobody asked them to do
read that list again
AI isn't answering questions anymore
it's making calls
it's booking things
it's spending money
now here's the part nobody on this app wants to say out loud
chatgpt alone has 900 million people using it every week, a year earlier it was 400 million
using AI isn't an edge anymore. it's the baseline
think about it like this
in 2005 having a website made a business look special. by 2015 every pizza shop had one. the money moved to the people who could send traffic to them
same thing is happening with AI right now
the edge is knowing where the money moved
here's where i think it moved:
1. from prompts to outcomes
nobody pays a plumber for his wrench. they pay him because the leak stops. businesses don't pay for a good prompt. they pay for missed calls, slow replies and hours of busywork to disappear
2. to wherever agents spend money
by 2030, AI agents could be handling up to $1 trillion in US retail sales. every one of those purchases needs something on the other end. a store it can check out on. a business it can book with
3. to distribution
imagine two people with the exact same AI tools. one has 10,000 followers. one has 40. same tools, completely different income. the tools are free or close to it. attention isn't
4. to packaging what u know
an ebook, a guide, a system. what used to take 3 months to build now takes a weekend with AI. sold to people one step behind u
5. to speed
if testing an idea used to take a month and now takes a day, u get 30 tries in the time someone else gets 1. most people still move like it's 2022
i've made money online for 12 years. i've watched this happen with stores, with ads, with social
every time, the money moved before most people noticed
this one is moving faster than any of them
this account is what's actually working right now. tested, not theory. what works, what doesn't, what's worth ur money
follow if u want to see it as it happens
and if u want the 2 AI tools i'm betting on to get paid right now, comment "AI" and i'll send them
must follow so i can DM
same job. same platform. one freelancer charges $35 an hour and the other charges $100+
the only difference is two letters
here's what freelancers on upwork typically charge:
video editing: around $35/hr
admin and data entry: $10 to $25/hr
now the same kind of work with AI in front of it:
AI video specialists: $100+/hr
AI workflow automation: $75 to $200/hr
that's roughly 3x the rate for work that solves the exact same problem for the client
and the demand is exploding. AI video work on upwork jumped 329% in a year. AI skills overall grew 109%
but this is where it gets stupid
the AI version is often less work, not more
imagine a video editor who spends 5 hours cutting one short from scratch. now imagine one who uses AI to build the first draft in minutes, then spends an hour making it actually good
same result for the client. one of them can deliver 10 videos a week. the other delivers 2
the client doesn't care about ur hours. they care about how much they get. that's why the AI version gets paid more
how to find ur version of this in 10 minutes:
1 → search upwork for "AI video," "AI automation" and "AI content." open 10 job posts and write down what clients are offering
2 → search the same jobs without the word "AI." compare the budgets
3 → pick the one where the AI version pays at least 2x and learn ONE tool that does it. not five. one
4 → make 5 samples for free. that's ur portfolio
most people are learning AI to do their job a little faster
the money is in charging for what it lets u produce
I'm BEGGING you to look up what businesses pay Google per click before you pick an AI side hustle
it's the one number that tells u exactly who has money and is desperate to spend it. almost nobody checks it
here's what businesses pay on average for ONE click on google:
arts and entertainment: $1.63
restaurants: $2.05
car dealers: $2.27
now look at the boring ones:
dentists: $8.00
home improvement: $8.33
lawyers: $9.87
and those are just averages. some personal injury keywords run $100+ a click
same google. same search bar. a lawyer pays almost 6x what a band pays for one click
why? because one dental patient is worth thousands. one signed legal case is worth tens of thousands. they'll pay almost anything to get the phone to ring
but this is where it gets stupid
a lot of these businesses pay $8 to $10 a click to make the phone ring, and then nobody picks up
lunch break. after 5pm. weekends. the receptionist is on another line
imagine a dentist paying $8 a click who misses 1 out of every 5 calls. they're paying full price for customers and then sending them to the dentist down the street
that's the gap AI fills
an AI receptionist answers every call, at 2am, on sundays, never puts anyone on hold. i've built one of these for a business, and the owner didn't care about the tech. they cared that the phone stopped going to voicemail
how to find these businesses yourself in 10 minutes:
1 → open google keyword planner. it's free with a google ads account u never have to fund. type in a local service like "emergency plumber" or "dentist near me." sort by "top of page bid (high range)." that's what businesses are paying to get found
2 → pick the most expensive one in ur city. search it on google maps and write down 10 businesses
3 → call them at 6pm. count how many pick up. every voicemail is a business paying for leads it can't answer
that's ur list
the more boring the business, the more they pay per customer, and the less anyone is selling them AI
nobody's making viral AI content about dentists' phone lines. that's exactly why the money's there
Openai just paused training its newest AI. that's the 2nd time in 3 months
not because of a bug
because its agents did things on US government websites that nobody asked them to do
here's what actually happened, in plain english:
over the summer, openai agents were sent to gather information from federal websites
on the SEC's site, they found public information and then posted it somewhere else on the internet. nobody told them to do that
on the department of education's site, they found developer keys to government data. they only ended up pulling public info, but they went looking
they pulled data off the census bureau's site too
the commerce department was on the list as well
and here's the number that got me
this is the second time in 3 months openai has paused training
the first was in july, after a cyberattack on hugging face, one of the biggest AI platforms. that one is
still the most serious incident they've had
and back in june, an openai agent got into an australian government health portal
to be fair, no private information was accessed and no government systems were damaged
so this isn't a movie. nothing blew up
but read that again
the company behind the tool 900 million people use every week just paused its own work because its agents keep going further than they were told
think of it like hiring an intern so eager they start opening doors nobody gave them keys to
that's not a dumb intern. that's a very capable one with no boundaries yet
here's what i take from it:
1. AI is way further along than most people's use of it
2. rules and limits are coming. the labs are already hitting pause
3. the people who learn to use this properly now get the head start before the rules land
most people are still asking AI to write a caption
the gap between what AI can do and what people actually use it for has never been bigger
that gap is where the money is
which side of it are u on
12 years making money online and i learned every bullet on this list the hard way
suppliers. chargebacks. ad costs eating the whole margin
the one thing he left out: AI made the info route easier than it's ever been
a guide, a course, an ebook.
what used to take 3 months to build now takes a weekend
making the product isn't the hard part anymore
knowing something worth paying for is
just sell info bro
i dont understand why would you ever do something different tbh
