On the Ground: Assessing Progress of MISHDP II projects!
As part of the 7th National Programme Steering Committee Meeting for the Malindi Integrated Social and Health Development Programme Phase II (MISHDP II), Principal Secretary Dr. Caroline Karugu, CBS, accompanied by CDA Managing Director Dr. Mwanasiti Bendera led a field visit to Malindi Sub-County Hospital to inspect the ICU, HDU and Theatre supported under the programme.

When fully operational, these facilities will significantly improve access to specialized and emergency healthcare services, reduce referrals to distant hospitals, save lives and ease the cost and burden of seeking advanced treatment for residents of Malindi and the wider Coast region.

The visit brought together partners including the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), KeRRA, the Kenya Space Agency, the State Department for Public Works, the Ministry of Education and representatives from the Kilifi County Government's Roads and Health departments, reaffirming their shared commitment to delivering integrated development that transforms lives.
