My first shift as a special done last night. Supported response with 3 grade 1’s and then did some ASB hotspot areas for a few hours, was a great first shift and was good to catch up with colleague again. Let’s see what I get up to tomorrow with A relief on response.

@colette65405 @GMPSpecials Thank you for your concerns but this is actually a shower room within the male changing rooms which has amendments in there to support with people who might have accessibility issues but is also available for others to use where needed, not every disability is visible ☺️.

Well there we have it..

I’ve now officially attested as a Special Constable with Greater Manchester Police and look forward to getting back out on the streets of Manchester.

Look forward to my first shift and being proactive again working with various teams.

Well I haven’t updated here for some time. But… with 3 training days left which is 2 first aid days and 1 scenario day, time has really flown and I’ve learnt a lot. I cannot wait to attest and get back out onto the streets of Greater Manchester. Roll on 22nd July when I attest.

@PC_DaybyDay I’d be really happy if I could get hold of a copy of these. They look great and as a new special in training I’d find them very beneficial.

Do you get them printed, laminated and sent out in the post or do you just send them electronically?

Law Day 2 done and dusted this weekend just gone.

There’s lots of information to be taken in and still lots to be learnt over the rest of the course. All very new and different information to what I knew as a PCSO but it’s a great learning development.

Today was the final thing I needed to do in the pre employment stage of becoming a SC which was my uniform fitting.

Roll on 18th March for my welcome evening and first day of training being 23rd March.

Can’t wait to be back in GMP doing something I loved.
