🚨If #SCOTUS rules in favor of Grants Pass, it will authorize cities and states to punish people forced to sleep outdoors with arrest and steep fines, even when they have no other safe option. We need housing solutions, not fines 🏘️. #HomelessnessIsSolvable#JohnsonVGrantsPass

We've launched our new State and Local Innovation (SLI) project! Building on the success of our ERASE initiative, the SLI project will advance tenant protections, sustain rental assistance, prevent homelessness, & shape federal policies for marginalized renters.
Too often our justice system is a revolving door for those struggling with addiction & mental health issues.
Today I'm calling on @CMSGov to approve pending Section 1115 waivers that would empower states to deliver pre-release care—effectively reducing recidivism & saving lives.
Next month, SCOTUS will consider the Grants Pass v. Johnson case, which could allow cities to criminalize unhoused people.
As a formerly unhoused person, I know that unhoused people need help, NOT fines & jail time. I'll keep fighting for policies that affirm #HousingForAll
Thank you @bradhoylman, @harrybbronson, and @albanydamiencenter, for highlighting the importance of funding that impacts individuals living with HIV.

Starting today, volunteers nationwide will record the number of people experiencing homelessness on a single night during the coldest season for HUD's annual Point-in-Time count.
This count is so critical because it helps influence our response to this crisis as best as we can.
