Very encouraging news that disability rights campaigner Joan Carthy, who is currently Advocacy Manager with IWA, is to contest the Seanad elections having being nominated for the Administrative Panel by a coalition of eight organisations. #SeanadElections
@AXA_Ireland@MargueriteBros1@joeliveline@conor_pope A non contested claim with a team whose only job is to minimise payouts. No consideration for the stress & hassle. now been charged another €115 by carental @enterprisecares. crash itself was less traumatic than this hassle.
Delighted to receive this endorsement from @TomClonan
Tom and I have been on many a demo with and we have won many victories but to continue that struggle I’m asking you for your number 1 this Friday.
Let’s put a carer into the dail and there’ll be no ignoring us then!

I just met 2 disabled friends insulted at the €12 a week in #disabilityallowance. The govt set a benchmark during covid for what a worker needs to live on - disabled people should get same as the Pandemic Unemployment Payment. We have a €20bn surplus, this should be priority.
Michelle, a wheelchair user, says "I find it very difficult to survive on disability allowance with the costs going up. I would love the Government to try and live on €232 a week. It’s an uphill struggle every week when I go shopping.” #Budget2025
