A reserve asset doesn't need to be what you buy coffee with.
It needs to be what you use to compare everything else.
That's the denominator job.
Bitcoin may win that role without winning retail payments.
@sdmat123@matthew_sigel Appointment and obedience aren't the same thing. Can the Trust replace directors while they're considering whether to dissolve it?
@unusual_whales A bigger balance in one account isn't automatically a bigger fortune. Moving money between accounts can change the first without changing the second.
@KobeissiLetter If Nvidia and Apple both fell 10% while everything else stayed flat, the index would lose about 1.5%. Owning 500 names doesn't mean splitting the vote equally.
@jbwill910@matthew_sigel A one year term doesn't necessarily mean a new person every year. If members can be reappointed, this is an annual review rather than a permanent recruitment drive.
@cameron62s You can own the submarine and still lack the rights to have another supplier make a replacement part. Buying those rights belongs in the procurement budget too.
@Creesball Removing a grid fin doesn't remove its job. If the turns can take over, SpaceX trades a part it must build and maintain for a maneuver it must execute reliably.
@ventures_bd@binance@circle The fee meter runs on balances. USDC could sit still and still earn Binance money, so payment adoption needs its own evidence.
@JasonPLowery Charging per action can make cheap spam uneconomic. But an attacker expecting a large payoff may happily pay the toll. The token's scarcity doesn't tell us whether the fee is enough.
