Accents are the user, not the noise.
Voice AI is often tested on read-aloud speech in a quiet room. Real calls in India: a busy street, a feature phone, a regional accent, dialect words, two languages in one sentence.
Test on the voices you'll serve. #VoiceAI
Meanwhile the leaderboard race is about streaming accuracy, and Microsoft says its new model now ranks first.
Useful. But if you build voice AI for Bharat, ask one question of every benchmark: whose speech is in the test set?

The most useful voice AI result this fortnight wasn't a launch.
NVIDIA tuned a small streaming speech model on 134 hours of Saudi dialect audio. Word errors on Najdi and Hijazi speech fell from 55% to 30%.
On standard Arabic it had scored 12.7%. #VoiceAI

The encouraging part: the fix wasn't a bigger model.
About 4.5 hours of training on two GPUs, with a little English and standard Arabic mixed back in so it didn't forget them.
The bottleneck is dialect data, collected with care. Not compute.

45% of first-ever calls to Aika end in under 30 seconds.
That is not a retention problem. It is a first-ten-seconds problem.
People pick up, hear an AI, and hang up before it earns a second sentence.

Aika means "listen" in Marathi.
We named a voice AI after listening, then spent months learning it mostly talks.
It calls your parents in their language, remembers them, and tells you when something feels off.
