SENATE IMPEACHMENT COURT LOWERS THRESHOLD: 14 VOTES NEEDED TO CONVICT, 7 TO ACQUIT VP SARA
The Senate officially lowered the voting threshold to convict or acquit an impeachable officer, securing 13 affirmative votes on Wednesday.
Only Presiding officer Chiz Escudero opposed Senator-judge Erwin Tulfo’s motion to reduce the conviction threshold to account for incapacitated, detained, and absent senator-judges.
Meanwhile, members of the minority bloc voiced their objections to the voting process and refused to participate.
In a surprise vote, Senator-judge Mark Villar, who was present, casted a "Yes" vote to lowering the denominator in the two-thirds conviction threshold.
The threshold for conviction has dropped from two-thirds of 24 (16 votes) to two-thirds of 20, which equals 13.333.
In his ruling, Escudero explained that because there can be "no fraction of a senator," the court rounded up to the next whole number, making the required total 14. (With report from Marc Jayson Cayabyab)
Texhinically speaking Sen Camille, they are shot and done guilty. In all aspects even if they got away with it in the court, we know and YOU PERSONALLY know that they are TRULY GUILTY of their own set of crimes. God Bless you.
NEWS UPDATE: Senator-Judge Camille Villar, in her manifestation, becomes emotional: "We should be reminded that the senators that are being detained, that is not their choice."
"Kaunting respect naman. Kasi lahat naman ng wala rito, hindi naman sila napatunayan na may sala," she says.

but THABK GOD for that FB video whch showcased the case and how it went. Even have to go on google and ask if she’ll be able to get out aftwr 15 yrs BUT, prison life looks sooo fabulous on her and I hope she stays till her last breath. Spoiled entitled child.
I was actually scared to listen to NcKebzie Shirilia’s trial coz its a bench tural not a jury trial. Judge might be biased just ciz she be american and the victims are of colors.
