This was my favorite interview I've done in a long time. @ljoywilliams was a pleasure to talk with, and we really dug into issues of race and immigration policy. I am a fan of @SundayCivics!
Did you miss part III of @ljoywilliams' series on immigration? @aikassa founder of African Communities Together @AfricansUS is at the front of the class https://t.co/iX680YUzwU

Thanks to all of you who shared this story, the stolen medal DID NOT SELL and was passed by the🇨🇭auction house. We again asked to be put in touch with their Consignor and they responded in a very unprofessional way. 👇 It's become personal for them and all about the money.
Watching @GrandpaFilm again with my parents and I am struck by how it is a touching love letter from Yeshi to her father. Kassa Wolde Mariam, the first president of Addis Ababa - at the time Haile Selassie - university. I thought the beautiful stories told about him (1/3)

It's time for the @POTUS@SecMayorkas to designate #TPS4DRC and save lives!

Congratulations to @AfricansUS on launching AfriLingual, the first worker-owned language services cooperative!
Accurate language services means all New Yorkers can communicate better—whether they speak Mandingo, Wolof, Fulani, or one of many other African indigenous languages.
There is additional work being done to build co-ops for Asian languages, and indigenous Central & South American languages. This incredibly important work is being led by @masanyorg & @AAFederation.
“Accurate and accessible information and services is a matter of life and death for individuals, and a public health imperative for all of us," said @CMShahanaHanif, Chair of the Immigration Committee at @NYCCouncil.

A quorum of 389 out of 529 Ugandan members of parliament (including 55 online) voted for the Anti-Homosexuality Bill (2023). The bill now goes to dictator @KagutaMuseveni for assent by appending his signature. This is a sad day for human rights of LGBTIQA+ people in Uganda!
