The Scottish Government were elected in 2021 on a commitment to reduce class contact time to 21 hours. That commitment was made four years ago. There has still been no proposal for keeping this manifesto promise tabled at the SNCT. It is essential that any proposal on class contact time uses the full reduction to increase Preparation and Correction time.
1.5 hours of more preparation and correction time will mark a step forward in addressing the unsustainable workload of teachers.
1.5 hours of more preparation and correction time will allow teachers to better ensure quality learning for pupils, including those with ASN.
There are 23 days left for COSLA and the Scottish Government to meaningfully and collegiately commit to addressing workload.
@LumoTravel I accidentally left my bag on the 9.24 Edinburgh to King's Cross service this morning - can someone advise if this was found and handed in at lost property? Have registered it as lost but heading back to Edinburgh on Wednesday.

@RHPSNursery wishing Mehreen lots of luck in her new role! Eimear was very sad not to see you before you finished today but wanted to say thank you for her lovely gift! She'll miss you lots! #WeAreLoving#WeAreKind
@EdinPolNE how are you tackling teens smoking cannabis in public parks at night? I also find it intimidating coming across balaclava wearing youths in the dark, nevermind when they whizz past on their electric scooters...
@on_lothianbuses A bus finally arrived around 10.45 - several elderly customers had been stood in the scorching sun for 55 minutes waiting. No update on social media or your website. Not good enough.
@on_lothianbuses disappointing service from a no. 5 driver today - despite there being enough room for 2 pushchairs the driver refused to let a passenger on board with her grandson. Appears to be no consistently from staff in applying your "rules" #maledriver
