I wish we lived in a world where we can celebrate a reformed racist instead of using their past against them.

I wish we prioritized growth over condemnation. I think someone who recognizes the wrong they have done but actually made the effort to change should be celebrated. It doesn’t excuse the past but watching someone grow into a better person is a good thing. People can change. Again this isn’t excusing the past but celebrating the present.
