If it's scary for you right now, imagine what it's like to be a kid today. Let loose a little and engage with the little people in your life. #covid19#lskysd#coronavirus
Today’s the day! My husband is having his liver transplant right now. It’s a long, risky surgery with many unknowns. But! He gets his life back. My kids get their Dad back. I get my best friend back. So thankful for the team at UofA Hospital! #yeg
Once Ontario changes, EVERY doctor in Canada without a liver transplant centre in their province has a moral responsibility to send patients with #alcohol-associated liver failure to Ontario to save them from 6-month wait. #cdnpoli

@TalkOutLoud@GoAHealth @ahs_hacs @shoffmanAB My 40 yr old husband is in desperate need of a liver transplant. Biased, punitive rules not backed by science are preventing this. Please accept Eric Whitbread as a transplant candidate! https://t.co/1v678sdppD https://t.co/M64rT4UCa8
@ABDanielleSmith Thank you for having me on your show. I appreciate the opportunity to share Eric's story. Please share this link with your listeners. It's our petition to get Eric accepted as a transplant candidate; it also explains more about his story. https://t.co/4LE5von3Pr
@JohnGormleyShow Here is the petition to support Eric. It also explains a little more of Eric’s story and how he ended up in this situation in the first place. Please share with your listeners. https://t.co/rAJyOCzpRA
@JohnGormleyShow Thank you for having me on your show this morning. I appreciate the opportunity to share Eric’s story. #End6MonthWait#MentalHealthMatters
@WLagasse@nationalpost No one is making the claim that it isn't Eric's fault, but there are other mitigating circumstances. We aren't asking for special treatment, just that Eric be treated the same as any other patient regardless of his mental health and disability.
@WLagasse@nationalpost Before we started on this journey, I prob would have thought the same. I have opened mymind & learned a lot. Interestingly, alcoholic cirrhosis transplant recipients tend to do better than recipients w/cancer or hepatitis. Read more on Eric’s story here: https://t.co/rAJyOCzpRA
@heavyduti1 @nationalpost His kids & I and 4500+ supporters on our petition disagree with you. I would encourage you to read Eric’s story and show some compassion for a man who has struggled with both #mentalhealth and physical health issues. https://t.co/rAJyOCzpRA
@Mytwtsmyfeelins@nationalpost Thank you for your compassion. You’re right, he can not walk. And he was not told of rehab req. until Dec. Could not find out specifics until last Fri. No facility exists that would take patients in his condition. Why can’t he do rehab AFTER transplant?
Please, if you haven't done so already, sign & share this petition: "Accept Eric Whitbread as a Liver Transplant Candidate on the Transplant List" The transplant centre at @UAlberta is deciding on my husband's life today https://t.co/aNIXirTCmo #skpoli#yxe#yeg#LetsTalk#abpoli
