A biased poll is being circulated to demonize me and distort my life’s work — just like in 2022.

Here are the facts:
I have not worked for The Bail Project since 2022. I left to serve as Executive Director of VOCAL-KY, where my work focuses on community safety, housing stability, harm reduction, and strengthening families across Kentucky.

To my knowledge, I have never paid bail for someone who later committed rape. And let me be very clear: I am a survivor of sexual assault. At 13 years old, I testified before a grand jury and at trial against my stepfather after enduring abuse. I know the pain of violence personally as a survivor. I also believe in restorative practices where possible, accountability where necessary, and truth always.

My life’s work has been about meeting people where they are, managing teams, and overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets responsibly and without scandal. My record reflects integrity, not corruption.

These poll questions are not about public safety. They are designed to scare people.

“Would you support a candidate who bailed someone out who later committed rape?” “Would you support a candidate who supports defunding the police?”

Then compare that to: “Would you support a candidate who created 9,000 jobs?” “Would you support a candidate who invested millions in economic development?” Those were not his millions 🙄

That’s not a fair survey. That’s a political hit job. Craig Greenberg came in with no experience leading a city after failed projects and deals in Lexington and more.

Let’s also tell the truth: No mayor in Louisville has the power to unilaterally defund the police. That authority belongs to Metro Council under Kentucky law. What I’m running on is smart budgeting, accountability, and public safety that actually works. And yes, LMPD returns millions of unused dollars every year that could be reallocated more strategically.

This administration has worked against me since my first run for Mayor, even though at one point they tried to hire me. They know who I am. They know my integrity. So if you have all the money, consultants, and power behind you --> why lie?

Run a clean campaign.

Stop using other people’s work as your own. Stop weaponizing misinformation. Stop demonizing authentic community leadership.

I am running to manage our city better — using evidence-based practices that strengthen families, protect elders, support working people, and invest in neglected neighborhoods beyond press conferences.

Metro Government must work for everyone. We will practice fair wages. We will support unions. We will prepare for natural disasters. We will partner with nonprofits, businesses, and neighborhood leaders. We will be responsible stewards of your tax dollars. We will lead with integrity.

What this election is really about is whether Louisville will be governed by big donors and legacy politics...or by the people who actually live here.

Call out biased polls. Demand honesty. And choose leadership rooted in lived experience, not manipulation.

We deserve better. And we will prove it together.

A statement from the family of Alex Pretti, obtained by CNN:

"We are heartbroken but also very angry.

Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.

The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.

Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you."
