@balloon_museum @HeritageFundUK On April 7 2011 49 hot air balloons successfully flew from Lydden Hill Race Circuit in Dover to Calais and amazingly again on the same day from the same venue 6 years apart, 85 balloons made the same trip!

This day in History....The first hot air balloon to cross the English Channel on April 13 1963, pilots Ed Yost and Don Piccard made a successful flight from Rye in East Sussex to Gravelines in France.
