Tragic that someone of his stature has spent two years and counting in jail without a proper trial in a palpably ‘fixed’ case . State agencies have been ‘weaponised’ across sub-continent (including in India) to target political opponents but Pakistani army state takes ‘command and control’ mindset to another level. The one-time ‘Saviour’ of the Pakistani army is now its Nemesis! Gen Asim Munir would do well to remember what a ‘caged tiger’ did in 1992: you can disagree with Imran’s political views but have to admire his raw courage. 🙏

A note to Pakistanis:
Avenging someone's death does not make them come back. What you owe to someone who dies for their country is not the life of another person from another country.
What you owe them is ensuring that nobody else from your country dies in the same way.
So, a ceasefire is good. Take that, fix your home, and prepare for war.
