A 000 operator receives a call from a ranting caller. The caller says “Please send someone here as fast as possible as the bank accross the rtoad is being robbed by two elephants.”
The operator , being aware of her training and not wanting to upset the caller any more than he already was, calmly asks the caller “Tell me are these two elephants Indian elephants or African elephants?” The caller, still ranting screams “What is the bloody difference whether they are Indian or African elephants, the bank is being robbed”
Once again, the operator remains calm and says “Sir an Indian elephant has small ears and an African elephant has large ears, now tell me sir, do these elephants have small ears or large ears?”
The caller screams into the phone “How the hell would I know? They are both wearing balaclavas.”
