Deliberate power cuts in Aden’s brutal heat. People sleeping on the streets gasping for air just to survive the night. Slow torture by heat. Collective punishment at its ugliest.
Aden has been through enough without this humiliation.😞
The people of Aden are suffering. Between the darkness of power outages and the deterioration of services, they are now facing live fire from forces at Al-Mu’ashiq Palace while protesting peacefully. No one should be shot for demanding basic human rights. #Aden
Southern diaspora activists held high-level meetings at the U.S. Congress and State Department in D.C. as part of “U.S. Advocacy Days for the South.” The push focused on three things: the South’s right to self-determination and its dire humanitarian crisis, the need for a just peace and stability (including securing waterways), and recognition of Southern forces’ role in counter-terrorism.

Halfway through 2026 and it’s just getting uglier as intentions get exposed.
One thing no one expected? The UAE and KSA on opposite sides.
Abu Dhabi exits OPEC, builds real strategic depth in the Horn, backs Southern self-determination in South Yemen. Meanwhile Riyadh plays the old game defending borders, suppressing aspirations, and acting like the Gulf’s big brother who can’t stand anyone growing a spine. The divide isn’t a mystery. One side wants a future. The other can’t let go of the past. 🇦🇪/🇸🇦
Naseem Abdullah Ali Jahour, martyred moments ago by a bullet above the eye during peaceful protests in Dar Sad District demanding electricity.
The shooter has surrendered. Investigations underway.
Munaf Baasabeen Al-Sa’ayri, a young man shot by Saudi-backed forces during protests in Sayun, has died from his wounds. Another life taken for demanding basic rights.

When a government sends tanks after unarmed protesters demanding basic rights, it stops being a government of the people and becomes a regime over the people. They’ve revealed their true nature they’re not protecting order, they’re protecting themselves.

#Aden is in hell right now!
Power is off 18+ hours a day. It’s scorching hot, the elderly and sick children are dying in their homes from the heat. Kids are covered in rashes and infections because there’s no way to cool down. People are so desperate they’re sleeping in the streets. Funerals are happening daily and nobody in charge is fixing it!!
