@TonyNatif I think Nameere is new on these streets. She ought to have known you are the only person who has 48 hours a day on Twitter to dedicate to a person in a social media back and forth when the rest of us, at a stretch, can only afford 24 hours a day.
Young Lawyer Motivation
A few years ago, after his departure from the Spanish National Team, Luis Enrique was appearing on podcasts doing tactical breakdowns just to stay relevant — essentially looking for a job. He even went ahead to apply and was interviewed by Chelsea’s hierarchy for their managerial vacancy. They turned him down in favour of Pochettino, who didn’t last long at the club anyway.
Then PSG came calling. No exhausting interview process. No audition. Just pure faith in his ability — a club reaching out to his camp and backing their conviction with a contract.
This was the same PSG that had thrown unlimited resources at football’s finest talent in pursuit of the Champions League, only to come up empty every time. They needed something different. They backed Luis Enrique.
Fast forward to today — he is a back-to-back European Champion, overseeing arguably the most lethal side in world football, and widely regarded as the best manager on the planet. The same Chelsea that turned him away a few years ago cannot afford his services now, and is currently not even capable of qualifying for European football.
The legal profession will hand you the same script. You will apply to established firms. Most will turn you away. Some will use what you have to offer and discard you without a second thought. That is just the reality of the early years.
All you need is that one person — one firm, one mentor, one opportunity — that takes a genuine gamble on you and gives you the space to grow into your full potential. When that happens, and it will, your trajectory will reach a point where those same firms that once passed on you will struggle to get you through the door.
Believe that you are a good legal practitioner. Work every single day to become an even better one.
You are the next Luis Enrique in waiting.
Potentially misleading information here. Funding the entire project doesn't automatically make you the owner. We have arrangements, especially where an established artist is corroborating with an upcoming artist and the value of the brand that the established artist is bringing to the project is valued in monetary terms and added to the project as their monetary contribution, even when the upcoming artist has funded the project.
We cannot overlook the brand value contribution that Cindy was bringing to the project.
Nevertheless, it will all come down to what was actually agreed between the parties and if in fact it was done as agreed.
As lawyers we stand shoulder to shoulder with medical interns, recognizing that the tasks they undertake fall squarely within the realm of provision of labour and employment with rights which they are entitled to, including fair and adequate remuneration for their services.
ULS backs Judiciary’s paperless court rollout by 1 July 2026 under Admin Circular No.1, while urging Govt to pay medical interns. ULS warns unpaid interns risk demotivating Uganda’s critical health workforce. #UgandaLawSociety#DigitalJustice#MedicalInterns
