#GNED1411 14.2-3- In life, I feel that I'm going to be more careful in what I post online because when it's online it stays on the internet for good. I feel this course has taught me a lot about the use of social media and I feel I will use it more in my career in the future.

#GNED1411 13.3 I feel that the social media is a distraction in the classroom because I think when notifications pop up on the screen people are interested in seeing whose texting them or connecting with them instead of focusing on what's happening up front.

#GNED1411 13.2 Having social media in the classroom is a great resource to have because it's a great way to stay on top of assignments, tests, quiz and it's a great way for students to communicate with one other especially with online classes happening since COVID started.

#GNED1411 13.1 The first time I used Twitter or social media for education was for this class. I have used social media for school related course work to answer questions related to the content we were learning in class. Using Twitter has made it easier to participate.

#GNED1411 12.2 Social media is very supportive in advocacy and activism because they create groups on social media to support the cause you are interested in. Go Funding Page is a great example of supporting cause through social media.

#GNED1411 12.1 An example of an advocacy group that has used social media is the Humane Society to show off pets that are available to adopt at the shelter. They also use social media to bring awareness for having your pets spayed and neutered.

#GNED1411 11.2 I feel that long term impact of social media on the economy will be big. We have seen a big change during the Pandemic. More people are using social media to buy and sell and to advertise products. This will have an impact on the economy in the future.

#GNED1411 11.1 I have contributed to the participatory economy by posting weekly and participating in discussions on Twitter for my social media course and retweeting what's related to social media on Twitter.

#GNED1411 10.3 The use of social media by a political candidate won't impact my voting decision as I like to stay away from policies when it's around. I would prefer to get my information from other more reliable sources instead of social media.

#GNED1411 10.2 An effective and positive use of the government that I have witnessed is how Service Ontario is reminding citizens to renew their health card or drivers license that might have expired during COVID.

#GNED1411 10.1 I don't fall under the citizen category 2.0 when it comes to the political affairs and I don't get involved with politics on social media in anyway. I think it is a good way to communicate with people in the community about the issues being supported by government.

#GNED1411 9.3 An example of a campaign that used crowd sourcing was the Lays Chips campaign. They asked people to submit ideas for a new chip flavor. Once the new flavor was chosen, the top three would be put in production and customers could vote on their favorite.

#GNED1411 9.2 American Eagle is a business that is using social media to advertise new clothing lines and advertise when there are sales happening. They use social media to post new styles and clothing lines to get people interested in their clothing and to shop at their store.

#GNED1411 9.1 My favorite Movie site to use is Netflix and it falls under the Mavens category because it has a high engagement in social media. Netflix attracts more customers to watch or subscribe to it's channel and also advertises movies that are interesting to customers.
