james allison, technical director of mercedes, confirmed that the team has identified the cause of the reliability issues with the mercedes engine and believes reliability should improve once updated battery modules are phased into the cars:
“they’re not all identical [PU issues], but they do originate in the same broad part of the battery. and i think that most of the areas of risk have been understood. and with a bit of luck, when we start to phase in the new modules into the racing season, we call the battery ‘the module’, then our fortunes as a fleet should pick up”
i’m sorry but mclaren aren’t getting praise from me doing all this shit about mental health when they did nothing to defend lando from the constant hate and death threats in 2024 and 2025. they’re silent when it’s convenient and it’s all performative bullshit, they never speak up when it matters.
Biggest gaps overturned to win the drivers' championship under the current points system:
1. Max Verstappen - 46 points (2022)
2. Sebastian Vettel - 44 points (2012)
3. Lando Norris - 34 points (2025)
🤔 Which teams and drivers have lost the most points to reliability issues this F1 season?
There's no perfect way of measuring that - but here's the points lost from race-ending issues:
“so you’re only 15 and you’re a [karting] world champion! you’ve done it. that’s it there’s nothing to do.”
lando: 😁there’s a bit but- i still have to fulfill my dream i’ve aimed to do [be in f1] but yeah it’s been a great step this year and hopefully i can keep it up next year
