@RemotejobWtessy while you're job hunting, ai training pays a lot better than video labeling, you get paid to review ai answers. try generalist roles at micro1 and mercor, plus terac and dataannotation, as soon as they open, good roles fill fast. check whether each one hires in your country
lawyers, 3 ai training roles open worldwide (country limits apply) and the catch for each:
micro1 biglaw lawyers, up to $400/hr. catch: you must have worked at a vault law 100 firm
micro1 corporate attorney, up to $350/hr. catch: jd + active bar (us or equivalent) + 3 yrs in m&a, corporate or litigation
mercor legal expert, up to $150/hr. catch: it's a standing pool, not one opening, roles in it have paid $60-150/hr
They will tell you to get a laptop and strong internet to make money online but will never show you how to make the actual money they are saying. Drop those remote sites so my mutuals can check them out 👇🏻
@Techk_e4ma for ai training, micro1 and mercor both take nigerians, mercor's generalist roles pay up to $70/hr. good roles fill fast so apply to a few at once. outlier and afterquery don't hire in nigeria sadly, so skip those
@skalezDgreat we're not hiring ourselves, that one's a mercor role, you apply on their site (link is in the reply above). besides the mac they want a mechanical engineering degree and 2 to 3 years of CAD work. mercor can't hire in some countries, so check yours first
mechanical engineers: afterquery has a hardware design role at $135/hr (8 to 12 yrs), micro1 a mechanical expert at up to $120/hr (ms/phd or strong applied mechanics), and mercor a cad role at up to $60/hr (must own a mac). all worldwide, country limits apply
@Chioma__Amadi while you fix the cv, try ai training, you get paid to review ai answers. generalist roles at micro1 and mercor are open in nigeria, mercor's pay up to $70/hr. good roles fill fast so apply to several at once. outlier and afterquery don't take nigeria sadly

students and researchers who code: afterquery posted 7 "task author" roles this week at $100/hr
you turn your own computational research into a task with a reference solution and tests
fields: engineering, math, materials, earth and climate, chemistry, physics and astrophysics, biology
bachelor's students with research experience can apply, plus master's, phd, postdocs and recent grads
catch: you must have written your own code, usually python. only running ansys, gaussian or vasp doesn't count. f-1 students aren't eligible, and check afterquery's country list
@aakashgupta yeah ai training projects end once the lab has enough data, that's normal. the people with steady hours apply to several platforms at once, micro1, mercor and afterquery all have chemistry phd roles open right now and good ones fill fast
talent pools only turn into work when a project comes, so apply to live roles too. try generalist roles at micro1 and mercor plus terac and dataannotation, apply as soon as they open because good ones fill fast. check whether each platform blocks your country, outlier and afterquery block a lot
software engineers outside the us, 3 ai training roles (country limits apply) and the catch for each:
micro1 senior software engineer, up to $280/hr. catch: 1+ yr at a top tech company, based in an english-speaking country
mercor infrastructure/sre, $200/hr. catch: 146 countries barred, pakistan among them
micro1 qa engineer for 2d and creative apps, up to $84/hr. catch: testing photoshop/figma-type tools
@Chioma__Amadi adding to the ai trainer part, if you're in nigeria skip outlier and afterquery, neither hires there. micro1 and mercor don't bar it, so apply to their generalist roles as soon as they open, good ones fill fast
what screening actually looks like on each ai training site. i've been through mercor and micro1 many times and track the rest:
mercor: ~20 min ai interview, camera on, full screen shared. interviews get reused, so most of my applications now go through instantly
mercor tip: every application overwrites your stored cv, so put all your relevant experience in it each time
micro1: reuses interviews too, but splits skills finer, so most new roles still need a short 7-12 min one. same camera and screen share
dataannotation: a starter assessment, writing plus spoken parts for language roles. no live interview, no screen share
outlier: lots of onboarding is unpaid, but some projects now pay for the assessment
afterquery: one assessment per pool, no retake
rates: micro1 lets you pick within the listed range, and mercor never offers you less than the minimum you set
you can't control who picks you, but you can control how many applications you send
