"Balls 8" was the oldest B-52 in service when it was retired in 2004.
Tail number 52-008, it was originally an RB-52B that was first flown on 11 June 1955. It was modified to be able to carry the X-15.
The right wing was reinforced and fitted with a pylon that could carry the heaviest payloads ever launched from an airplane's wing: more than 50,000 lbs
🔥🤣 THE SCOTTISH ARE DRINKING ALL THE BEER IN BOSTON LOL
“We have never seen anything like it. The White Bull Tavern… they drank the place dry… all that was left was BUDLIGHT” - Bar Managers
Even the Scots won’t drink Bud Light. It’s true they are assimilating to America perfectly.
🚨 WOW! Major Capers just went maximum selfless patriot mode after President Trump gave him the Medal of Honor
"I can't say I'm happy to be here because this award belongs to a lot of young men who followed me and died in battlefields around this world for a country that we honor this flag."
"There's no real satisfaction in getting a medal when I've lost so much."
"We're one unit. When one falls, somebody else has to replace that one, that person who fell."
"I feel honored to have the support that I find today. I'm honored. And I give gratitude to the ones who made this happen."
"When your men are in peril and you have an opportunity to save your men, I chose to get off the helicopter to lighten the load."
Living legend.

Keyboardist Gregg Rolie was born in Seattle, Washington. The co-founder of Santana and Journey, he sang lead vocals for Santana and was Journey’s lead singer for their first three albums before Steve Perry took over on their fourth. Rolie provided the signature Hammond organ sound on Santana classics like “Evil Ways” and “Black Magic Woman,” and sang lead on several early Journey tracks, including “Wheel in the Sky” and “Lights.” He left Journey in 1980 but has reunited with both bands for special performances over the years.
Much of the rights and abilities to produce things on legacy systems like harnesses resides at the contractor. That ability should be granted fully to the armed forces at the initial contract for a platform/ weapon system! quickly make these things if possibly, at reduced cost.
No parts? No problem! 🛠️✈️
The 809th Maintenance Support Squadron (MSS)’s RAPID Lab at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, used 3D printing to reverse-engineer F-35 Lightning II canopy frames, closing a critical training gap and bypassing supplier delays.
This in-house innovation accelerates timelines, cuts costs, and boosts readiness for the F-35 and our warfighters.
Department of War Restores U.S. Pacific Command Designation.
CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii — The Department of War announced today that the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) will officially restore its name to the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM).
Originally established on January 1, 1947, by President Harry S. Truman, the command operated under the USPACOM banner for over 70 years, standing as the oldest and largest of the United States' unified combatant commands.
Restoring the legacy USPACOM designation honors the command’s deep historical roots, fostering a sense of pride and collective spirit among all who serve in the Pacific. From its critical role in establishing the post-WWII regional security architecture to its coordination of joint forces during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and countless humanitarian operations, the USPACOM namesake carries decades of military heritage and enduring regional partnerships.
USPACOM’s vast area of responsibility—spanning from the waters off the West Coast of the United States to the western border of India—remains exactly the same. The command's fundamental mission and its unwavering commitment to maintaining a free and open theater alongside regional allies and partners are unchanged.

North Florida/South Georgia folks, it appears that the USS Nimitz (CVN 68) is inbound to Naval Station Mayport. This will probably be your last chance to see it before it's retired next year.
Every time Whoopi Goldberg opens her mouth about racism, hate, and “division,” I flash right back to that 1993 Friars Club roast.
There she was, glowing, laughing, loving every second, while the man she was dating, Ted Danson, strutted on stage in blackface, cracking jokes at her event.
She didn’t storm out.
She didn’t scream “racism!”
She was beaming. Happy as hell.
Yet today, we’re supposed to believe she’s outraged by the very things she once laughed through and defended.
Because that’s what I can’t reconcile.
She’s a paid performer. A Hollywood lifer who has spent decades in the spotlight, and to me, the contrast between then and now raises a lot of questions.
She’ll condemn behavior today that she appeared willing to overlook when it involved someone close to her.
Hands down.
That’s why I have a hard time taking the outrage seriously.
The hypocrisy is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Wake up, folks… She’s a Hollywood grifter!
Holy smokes. JD Vance is UNLEASHING on The View.
Sunny Hostin tried guilt-tripping him over mass deportations by bringing up “the children,” and he fired right back:
“You talk about ‘THE CHILDREN.’ Do we know that during the last admin, tens of thousands of children were S*X TRAFFICKED by the cartels? Brought into our country in profoundly dangerous and predatory conditions?”
He kept going:
“You think that our immigration policies are inhumane based on the reporting of one person with a political bias. What I’m telling you is that it’s inhumane to allow cartels to sex traffic people across our border!”
WELL DONE @JDVance
