@GianfrancoShoIa And far too expensive now. I think the Trafford ship has sailed. Last summer was the time & it didn't happen. You'd think an experienced keeper is needed at a reasonable price for next couple of seasons. Time will tell.
No beyond possible that Trafford goes on loan for a big fee

@cgnufc We have to priortise tomorrow & next week against Liverpool over PSG. Team selection/rotation tomorrow will tell us about this. I can't see Joelinton not playing, especially with Bruno likely to be out. Hall also needs a rest but can't see how that's possible in next 3-4 games

Surely defensive cover is needed, especially if we progress tomorrow. Schar out for a while, Lascelles off, Burn & Kraft out & Botman can breakdown at any time. I imagine we'll wait until summer, but it's a big risk. Think we might see Miley get more minutes at CB tomorrow #nufc

Anyone else find the situation with Lascelles bizarre. Howe saying he isn't injured but doesn't feel physically right & could leave. Fit enough for transfer. We're in need of cover at CB so there must be an agreement he doesn't play to avoid injury & any move collapsing. #nufc

@RockToonUnited I don't think he is. Read earlier that his debut could be against us in the semi final. Typical. Presumably he didn't play for Bournemouth in earlier rounds.

@FGE7__ I imagine he'll end up gone on loan with obligation to buy, if we can find a club willing to take him. He won't come good. There were better options but we tool a runner over creativity & output.

@jones202920 @toonarmy_com Agree. Crying out for 4-2-3-1 with wingers more narrow to get the best out of the link up with Woltemade. We'd look much more of a goal threat. Adapting from the rigid 4-3-3 is a must, but I'm certain Howe will persist with it & tonight we'll just see a few like for like changes

@CK_8791 We're stuck with Elanga. Big contract & who in their right mind would pay anything close to what we did. Worth 30m at most & that's being kind. Massively overpriced & a waste of money, which in the world of PSR can't happen. Miggy is better & he can't kick with his right foot!

@tfalex1892 You must still be drunk from Christmas. No way we take 12 points from the next 4. Just not happening. How many times have we said this is a turning point this season. Too many. It's a season of inconsistency, with horrible away fixtures still to come. 9th-11th for us this season

@PGJohnson77 Because we're not interested in a number 10 who is technically very good. We go for runners (Ramsey, Elanga) when what we're crying out for is a player or 2 with real creativity. Yes, Howe knows better than me, but our rigid 4-3-3 needs shaking up. Switch to a 4-2-3-1, with a 10

We play PSG away before Liverpool away in the league. Not ideal. Hopefully draw them at home in 1 of the cups. Got some very tricky games following European games. We've got to cope with that & adapt. Hard to produce our best high energy performances after big midweek games #NUFC

@thomashammond__ We're brainwashed into thinking age/sell on value is the most important thing. Yes, in a PSR world it is a major factor, but with the money we received & desperate situation we were in, prices were always going to be inflated. 10-15m overpay but his goals will be invaluable

@coopermatic That would be brilliant. Nothing would be better, but unfortunately we all know they'll win the league & could win one of the other cups as well. Then we can have tge media telling us how Isak was right to force his move.
