I've talked before about how powerful generating strong intrigue in your prospects is.
Here's the thought process I follow to get opportunities like this from my ideal accounts:
Thread👇🏼:
Being clever with a job is so underrated.
Pick a startup in a promising industry & promising founders, get equity.
Fast track title and salary progression by being a competent person.
Efficient in role -> pure profit coming in & time to invest in side biz.
Probably the best in the game in this space
But you can ignore my word for it
Just read the screenshots on the landing page
‘Bigger’ groups out there for sure, but I’d be shocked if any matches LK’s attention to detail.
I do some work across another tech company, with a _____ director title on LinkedIn
I already get SPAMMED with connections
Blank
Connections with notes
The same offers over and over again
Very eye opening to spend time on the receiving end.
$NXRA is incredibly interesting to watch
Combination of legacy ALBT holders regaining their confidence
And new investors discovering AllianceBlock & their ridiculous partnership network
Top 2 with $QNT for me.
Important thing to internalise
Apply the same thing for uncomfortable situations:
- start conversations with strangers
- cold calling
- maintaining eye contact
- sets to beyond failure in the gym
- honest self reflection
All pretty uncomfortable
All teach valuable things
Easiest way to spot someone unimportant is the amount of effort put into the signature
If you ever see a “sent from my iPad” you better take them seriously
@thebeautyofsaas Sounds like a joke before you’ve experienced it
But receiving a ‘thx [name] sounds good. Rachel find time for us to chat.
sent from my iPad’
Holds huge weight
Huge reframe for me was realising you can generate the same outcomes as a 'confident person' by just faking it.
e.g. important meeting w someone well above you:
Think: How would the most confident person approach this?
Then follow that approach.
Regardless of how you feel.
Maybe I’m missing something
But why go down this specific ‘appointment setter’ route in a commission only role when you could have made $25k+ in base salary alone as an SDR w the same deliverables?
And being surrounded by top performers with a path to a closing role?
+ Equity?
I've been an appointment setter for 6 months now and in February I made my first money: £559
If you're new to sales & you've been sold on the idea that you'll be making 10k/mo after you watch some videos from a course, I'm here to tell you it's quite unlikely for that to happen.
