WEDNESDAY NIGHT WAR

AEW Blood & Guts will go head-to-head with WWE NXT on November 4!

NXT is being rescheduled due to the US midterm elections on November 3.

@iamUncleAC That angle felt sooo much hotter than this

MEN'S BLOOD & GUTS

There's no heated feud going into this, but there are storylines that will continue through this match to Full Gear so I'm fine with it.

Will Ospreay is a mad man. He will wrestle in Japan on November 3rd and immediately fly to Florida for this match the next day.

@Uxunited17822 These aren't even close to his best matches in WWE.

The matches pictures were two TV matches he had earlier this year, both of which were better.

When I imagined what Ilja Dragunov would look like in an AEW ring, this is absolutely not what I envisioned...

This wasn't even as good as some of the matches he's had in WWE this year.

Wrong opponent. Wrong match.

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

@twinhypeback He realized how that sounded and then immediately added "but completely different in how he doles out violence"

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

@DTS1109 Excellent point💯

@amisylle time to crown the Queen

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

@AustinGoneRogue Brian Cage would've been my pick, especially after his last few promos on Twitter

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

@QC_Gab_ I think we will, but I also think it can only get better from here

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

I'm not judging him because I know he's great. I just don't think it was the right opponent or the right match structure to truly highlight Ilja's strengths. I'm also not gonna pretend that he's magically wrestling better because he's in an AEW ring, because that's not what we saw tonight.

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

AEW sickos, put aside your WWE bias for a second.

I won't even go that far back because Ilja Dragunov has had genuinely great matches in WWE. Some of the best.

There’s no way anyone who watched Ilja wrestle Sami Zayn and Carmelo Hayes this year can tell me tonight’s match was better.

You just can’t.

@theaustingunn @AEWonTV We're so back👆

[AIRGold @AIRGold_]

Tonight was one of the best #AEWDynamite this year. For once, AEW started building toward its next PPV immediately.

- Potential opponents positioned for Will Ospreay
- Men's Blood & Guts match made official
- 3 different women's matches and stories were started (Mercedes vs Marina, Aminata vs Perse, B&G)
- Bullet Club is back👆
- Swerve/Hangman story continuing
- Jericho masterclass in putting over Nick Wayne
- Ilja debut was presented well even if the match wasn't great
