Earl E Bird

Here for rugby news and threads only. Deleted my original Twitter to get away from politics and everything else barring the great game.

@AlexG6 @ponte_pele @RHunterPaul @Six_Again @RLBarrieMc10 You're wrong mate. 'Bloke on Twitter' always knows best.

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@StavrosFC He's supposed to bend the legs and dip his shoulders into the tackle. That way his shoulder could smash him in the face and he could get a red card instead.......................................

And of course, if anybody actually reads this yawn piece. There no doubt be somebody who'll jump on and claim I'm calling for players to be allowed to close line people. I'm not. I'm asking for sensible moderation. #betfredsuperleague #rl

I've rewatched the smarm oozing out of Karen Moorehouse on Sky Sports last night. Particularly the part where she thought she had one up on Brian Carney about MMA and boxing. "That's allowed in their rules. It's not in ours". 2 things:

How are new people going to be attracted when the vast majority of what is written on social media by the people who watch it is "the game's gone" ? #rfl #superleague #RugbyLeague

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@CallumJMo @JasonHa25334518 @TrylineUK I really don't get where you're getting they suffer less head contact from. They can suffer more hard knocks to the head in one fight than an RL player will in 10 years of playing the sport.

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@CallumJMo @JasonHa25334518 @TrylineUK Yeah. Given how few hard knocks they take to the head.....

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@CallumJMo @JasonHa25334518 @TrylineUK Whilst sports like mixed martial arts grow exponentially...

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@robhunterhkr @CTRLFC The game is potentially very dangerous. Banning players every single week is ridiculous. It's unwatchable. People beginning to hate the game.

[Earl E Bird @airl_e]

@TheRFL It's actually ramped up to the point where teams have 2 and 3 players missing every week. How is anybody supposed to advertise that? You're ruining the sport. In ten years when it's a part time sport. It'll be down to the fat cats at the RFL.
