Most aviation accounts tell you WHAT happened.
This one tells you WHY it matters.
I'm Kamil — 20+ years in aviation, tourism and marketing. @Airlinetrend is where I break down airline strategy, routes, and the business of flying.
Here's what to expect
If you want more aviation deep dives like this — focused on strategy, economics, fleets, networks, and the forces reshaping the industry —
follow @Airlinetrend.
No noise. No recycled headlines.
Just the numbers, the context, and the bigger aviation story.
Ryanair gets the headlines. @wizzair gets the drama.
But Europe's lowest-cost airline is one most people never talk about:
@ucurbenipegasus
Here's how a Turkish carrier built one of the cheapest operations in the sky — and why Europe's LCCs should worry 🧵#deepdive#aviation
My take: @flymepegasus is the most underrated operator in European aviation.
Not the biggest. Not the loudest. But pound-for-pound, possibly the most efficient — and its next 200 aircraft are pointed at everyone else's markets.
Watch this one.
This was part 1 of my Turkey & Middle East aviation series.
Coming next: how Pegasus built one of the lowest-cost operations in the sky — and why Europe's LCCs should worry.
Follow @Airlinetrend so you don't miss it.
What do you think — is TK's network genius or overreach?
Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any airline in history.
358 destinations. 133 countries. 563 aircraft.
It looks unstoppable. But this strategy carries risks almost nobody talks about.
Let's break down the world's widest airline network #aviation#turkishairlines
My take: breadth is Turkish Airlines' moat AND its burden.
No competitor can replicate a 133-country network — the geography, the history, the hub. But maintaining it profitably at 800 aircraft is a harder game than building it.
The next 7 years will decide which side wins.
