(THREAD) Biden just released "Lift Every Voice: The Biden Plan for Black America". I read through it and would like to detail some ways that it falls very short of it's stated goal of "rooting out systemic racism from our laws, our policies, our institutions, and our hearts". 1/
Race-neutral policies are not a sufficient response to race-based disparities. We need to tackle systemic racism head-on and ensure everyone has a fair shot at the American dream.
Here’s what I would do as president: https://t.co/Ni1rAm8DNZ
@UniteCountryPAC Joe Biden funnelled billions to the companies that fund this super PAC during the 2008 "recovery" that they're touting in this video. They're expecting him to do it again if he's elected.
@ProjectLincoln You also can't social distance yourself from the fact that the Lincoln Project is bush-era neocons that supported and continue to support the murders of millions of innocent people around the world.
@TheDemocrats Why did you tweet this at 7pm at night when polls are about to close rather than in the morning? Is it because voter suppression helps establishment candidates and hurts down ballot progressives so you don't actually want to do anything about it during the primaries?

@tedlieu Ted, this a Reagan speech about US imperialism in which he justifies toppling democratically elected governments around the world and creating the very police states and government torture programs that he claims to be opposing. So maybe "powerful" isn't the right word.

“In 2015, when Bennie Smith discovered the disappearance of votes from predominantly African American precincts, he documented the evidence by photographing the totals reported in poll tapes, the paper printouts generated by each machine...1/ https://t.co/ApYH2nMYAM
@amaryllix@ProjectLincoln@ZackCz@KatieHill4CA I didn't say he wasn't a competent political operative, I said he's working for neocon pro-war hawks that literally wrote a book about their plan to take over the democratic party and refocus its platform on the white middle class instead of on racial justice and healthcare.
Left-wingers attacked radical leftist intellectual Noam Chomsky on Tuesday after he co-signed a statement in Harper’s criticizing cancel culture. https://t.co/pczYlwVRTD
@amaryllix@ProjectLincoln@ZackCz@KatieHill4CA Oh, well if they've got the campaign manager from a milquetoast pro-"border security" California dem that had an inappropriate affair with a staffer and then lied about it and was caught and forced to resign in disgrace, then I don't care that @ProjectLincoln is run by neocons.
@AP Funny how Republicans hate schools and think they're marxist brainwashing programs, but you want to close them even partially during a deadly pandemic and suddenly they are the most important thing in the world.
@chrismackechnie It is about her, and about the Tom Cotton NYT op-ed, and about @NathanJRobinson vs @krystalball. It's about "cancel culture" and "illiberalism". The letter doesn't cite specific examples because then people could point out how bad it is, but don't pretend it doesn't have context.
Billions have been spent by publishers, film producers, advertisers, and merchandisers to give JK Rowling her platform. That's the threat to free speech, not people on twitter calling her on her transphobia. Noam Chomsky apparently forgot that he literally wrote the book on this.
@GOP@Mike_Pence Oh, well if it's to open up America again then I'm all for it. Up to now I thought you were just killing a shit ton of kids for sport. This moving quote from our vice president really clarifies the issue!
Not only does this letter fail to provide any evidence for its dire warnings implying the left is intolerant, but it echoes Trump’s Mt Rushmore speech, which warned that “cancel culture” is one of the biggest threats to the country. A shame to see some good people sign this crap.
