tbh most of my tweets are like this, probably since the only time i make a tweet here is when the thought comes back. i want to believe there's hope. my vision is constrained by my experience, my experience by my perspective. but my perspective is conditioned by the world, so idk
romanticism embodies a deceiving spirit – one such that even when i know of its lies, i still want to be captured by it. reality can seem so grim at times, things that are going on in the world happen regardless of your perspective, and a lot of those things are deeply evil
Insane how much of the world is completely made up. People do or refuse to do things because of beliefs held so strongly in their mind that actually do not exist and have no real basis in reality.
To really understand this you have to put yourself in environments where beliefs you hold yourself (often you didn’t even know you held) are completely shattered, and you realise how nonsensical it was to hold them in the first place.
@wetfinger@lukebelmar become Catholic brother. papal infallibility was clearly dogmatized at the third council of constantinople, and filioque has always been affirmed by the fathers + scripture, where the denial of it leads to metaphysical absurdity (inability to distinguish Son and Holy Spirit, etc)
