Cadena helped to get legislative funding and the Arvizu’s made a personal gift to equip the space with state-of-the-art machinery and technology.
Housed in the College of Engineering, the space serves students and researchers from all disciplines across campus.
New Mexico State Representative Micaela Lara Cadena (@MLaraCadena), along with @NMSU Chancellor @Dan_Arvizu and his wife, Sheryl, cut the ribbon at the College of Engineering Aggie Innovation Space (@ais_nmsu) this morning.
We’re so excited to celebrate the renovations of the Aggie Innovation Shop with an official ribbon cutting! We are grateful to State Representative Micaela Lara Cadena, Chancellor Dan Arvizu, and Sheryl Arvizu for their generous funding efforts and continued support of the AIS.
Congratulations to the NMSU Invent for the Planet team who placed 2nd at the international finals this past week at Texas A&M! Their product EcoArt is an interactive art installation that generates electricity through TEGs. You can read more at the link in our bio!
