I have no issue with Kaitlan. We have mutual friends. But as a member of the White House press corps, she comes off as smug and elitist here, quite honestly. She’s not the second coming of Barbara Walters. 77 million Americans voted for President Trump. Less than 1% of that number watches her show each night. The questions she thinks are easy might be of interest to those 77 million Americans.

Her most frequent guests on CNN are John Bolton and Mike Pence. She’s no Walter Cronkite.

Joe Biden barely took questions from the press, and when he did, they were vetted. I don’t remember CNN holding his feet to the fire. In fact, the mainstream media protected him.

I’m sure it’s frustrating to the legacy media that the White House has incorporated new voices. But podcasters and influencers have every right to be there. And under the First Amendment, we can ask whatever we want.

I don’t like this attitude of looking down on other people because of what they think is important to their audience. Audiences we built brick by brick.

Kaitlan has a coveted front row seat in the briefing room. The rest of us have to fight against the walls and get there hours early. We also pay our own way. We don’t have CNN footing the bill.
