AI needs to be thought about forensically.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@usr_bin_roygbiv Maybe there never was aura. These middle school level interactions are insane to see from AI companys.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@EbiThinks Anything that needs a human in the loop is an obvious one.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@AbHomineDeus Merge is vague. Neuralink is an early example of humans merging with tech. There are many ways humans might merge with tech and AI within the laws of physics.

[Thariq @trq212]

@lydiahallie wait is it just me or is Opus 5.5 dumber

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@VraserX What the public sees is very different from what is happening internally and there is lag. The public would probably know after

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@ishuagra02 He and another employee did.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@Ananth7e The announcement makes me wonder if they both signed an NDA the way they said nothing about what happened when we all have a good reason to be intrigued and informed.

[Ananth @Ananth7e]

okay, something's going on inside anthropic.

first thariq, and now apparently anthony morris too.

two familiar faces from anthropic leaving just as anthropic is preparing for what could be one of the biggest IPOs in history.

what did they see? what do they know that we don't?

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@rynorhn @darcyagi I will say it certainly until our understanding of science changes if it ever does. We will never ever get rid of death.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@prthgo Anyone know what happened?

[Bill Gates @BillGates]

AI is the most profound technology I’ve seen, both in its ability to help people and to disrupt their lives. I’m optimistic about the good it can do, but we need to take its risks seriously. https://t.co/MZuSaceOYr

[Internet @ThabigRexy]

please don’t die with your art inside you

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@flowersslop Yea it’s crazy what he has said and the postion he has taken. But then you remember his incentives and it’s not that surprising.

[DHH @dhh]

If you hang out with happy, optimistic, and ambitious people, it'll rub off too. That's why pruning your social media algorithms is so key. Don't psyop yourself into a depressive hole.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@nemui_nekoooo AI being trained of the corpus of human knowledge and data doesn’t mean every answer AI gives you was once a qeustion some human asked online.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@nemui_nekoooo Not every answer AI gives anyone was once a qeustion some human asked online. The prompts and responses work differently than that and it’s not a matter of opinion.

@Weird_Canadian “A rogue AI can only be initiated by a human” is true in the same trivial sense that a fire can only be started by a human with a match.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@Weird_Canadian It’s rare now. But obviously rogue AI will not only be initiated by humans. I agree the main issue now is dumb humans but there are bigger fish to fry on the way. A single rogue ASI may be a worse threat than all of humanity.

[my diary of the singularity @AIsetforlife]

@nemui_nekoooo The way fire is portrayed in the jungle book paints this picture well. (I think that’s the movie I’m thinking of)
