#WorldEnvironmentDay is a reminder that safeguarding our environment is safeguarding our heritage. Environmental stewardship is a cultural duty. Our forests, rivers and wildlife are not just natural resources but part of the living heritage system that sustain our livelihoods.
Presided over by His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto , I joined fellow national leaders, the people of Wajir and the people of Kenya at large in commemorating the historic 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations.
Amidst the pomp, colour and patriotic spirit, this historic celebration is a reminder of our country’s journey, the sacrifices made by our forefathers, and the national ideals that bind us together as one people, one country.
Wajir hosting the first ever national holiday in North Eastern Kenya is an affirmation of President Ruto’s commitment to inclusivity, national unity and equal development. This is a reflection that every region of Kenya has a place in the national table and equal opportunity to participate and share in the fruits of prosperity.

There’s this skater by the name Kevin who won Gold for Kenya in Benin. I’m very sure that CS for sports was not even aware of this.
He privately paid for his ticket. Cabinet secretaries are busy campaigning for Ruto.
Graced by the Deputy President, His Excellency Prof. @KindikiKithure , I joined CS @hannawcheptumo , Governors @GovernorBii ( Uasin Gishu) and Eric Mutai(Kericho), together with other National leaders, for the 98th Kenya Music and Cultural Festival Gala in Eldoret City , Uasin Gishu County.
This event celebrated the extraordinary talent, creativity, and cultural expression of our learners. Culture is the soul of our nation, and instilling cultural appreciation among our young people goes a long way in fostering unity, strengthening national identity, and driving sustainable development.
Music and cultural festivals also play an important role in elevating the creative and performing arts sector, which remains an essential pillar for youth empowerment, talent development, as well as job creation.

Months earlier, she had pleaded with him to stay alive until her return to the north. He told me before that his mother told him “Hossam you’re here for your people not for yourself”.
