If MDP had executed this deal, our gaumee bathols would now be on a bakkuraa to RasMale’ with their gopros and other equipment, filming some random expat worker on a dock.

A record-breaking moment 💫
We’ve achieved the Guinness World Records title for the most people snorkelling simultaneously at a single venue, with 314 participants taking part in the record-breaking attempt at Niva Kurumba Maldives!
The attempt was carried out as an awareness initiative to bring people together, beneath the surface, to experience first-hand the fragile beauty of the Maldives' reefs and inspire collective responsibility for their protection.
This event was made possible with our incredible partners. Thank you for your support! ✨

Muizzu trying to make people think not providing aasandha for people earning above 60,000 is a win, when the actual drain is MPs, ex-MPs, presidents, Police, MNDF and their families with their privileges. Cut those privileges off and make good healthcare affordable for everyone
A local transfers more than MVR 50k & immediately faces questions.
Even receiving $1,000 can mean a mountain of paperwork to prove the source of funds.
And then we hear this?
Where were the banks, regulators & law enforcement all this time?
Why the double standards?
You only have to pay 2000 MVR for a single child and 1000 for each additional child, as child support. This not enough as half of medical, school, accommodation, transport etc. That’s $88 per month and $44 for additional children. I know these laws were made by men.
Muizzu has nothing on the tourism sector. Its all the s&m strategies by resort and travel agents that brings guest. Muizzu just just leeches on the money tourism brings
My question is how? How were the funds managed to pay the borrowings? Clearly the economic stance is terrible. Did they print more money??? Did they borrow more?? I am sure money didnt fall from the sky or grow on ‘aarah’ trees??
They said the Maldives would default. They said the economy would collapse, subsidies would be cut, and we would end up in an IMF program. Some were waiting for it to happen. Some even seemed to be hoping for it.
After years of heavy borrowing, money printing, and economic challenges, many believed President @MMuizzu would not be able to turn things around. But the opposite happened.
The country has continued to meet its debt obligations, avoided an IMF bailout, and international credit ratings have improved. This is not a small thing. It is a huge achievement for a small nation facing significant financial pressures.
As promised by President Dr. Muizzu, the USD spending limit on BML debit cards has been raised to $500 up from the $250.
A major win for the common Maldivians. 😊
