Did you know the TV show “To Catch a Predator” was cancelled because they kept catching law enforcement, teachers, preachers, local officials, and other people who were supposed to protect children?
The final straw? An Assistant District Attorney in Texas was courting who he thought was a 13-year-old boy. He didn’t show for the sting, so they sent law enforcement and the camera crew to his home. The police entered, and Louis Conradt shot himself, taking his own life.
Can’t make this shit up.
Everyone loves preaching about mental health on the timeline, but the brutal truth is nobody actually wants to be around a depressed person.
The second your struggle becomes an inconvenience, the distancing begins. Society loves the aesthetic of support and the hashtags, but they despise the reality. Real depression isn't a cute movie scene; it's zero energy and canceled plans. The moment you stop being fun, you are suddenly labeled as "negative," a "burden," or "too heavy to handle." They want you healed, but refuse &
sit in the dark with you while you hurt. People will literally watch you drown and then complain that your splashing is ruining their vibe. You learn very quickly who actually, loves you, and who just loved the entertaining version of you.
The silence you get from your "friends" when you hit rock bottom is the loudest reality check of adulthood.
Patriarchy backfires beautifully in old age. Daughters are emotionally socialized to care, but married off and geographically removed. Sons are prioritized, but not trained for caregiving. As a result, parents raise a successor, not a caregiver. Then act surprised when he behaves exactly like that. Society optimized sons for income, status, and escape velocity. Then parents expect them to suddenly transform into emotionally available nurses in old age.
When I say modern-day dating has become miserable and is more of a humiliation ritual than love, this is what I mean.
Look at her texts and the misery in her life. she tried to put in her best effort and wanted to talk to him, but instead, she became meme material on the internet because he wanted some likes and validation.
Men are right, actually. They are indeed stronger than women. They are born to be the providers and protectors, which is why they have greater physical strength than us. This is exactly why they should be doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and dishes, taking care of the house, raising kids, and providing' free labor to the household. They should also be protecting' the house, the women, and the kids by guarding the home all night outside. Since women are emotional, they should be using those emotions to go out into the world and live their happy, chaotic lives. It's not sarcasm, it's biology. Biology made men stronger so they can handle the household, you see that right?!
- At the first sign of abuse or disrespect, LEAVE!!
- Getting married and having children is NOT compulsory.
- Go to school, get as much degrees as possible, a pretty face and smart brain will get you so far.
- DONT fall in love with potential.
- I know male attention is fun, but I promise you it means nothing.
- Work like a woman, think like a woman, talk like a woman, prioritize yourself like a man.
- Believe a man's actions not his words.
- listen to your instincts ALWAYS.
Colon (:) introduces something. You usually use it when what comes after is a list, or an explanation, or even a reveal.
An example is “she had one rule: never apologize” or “this is a list of things you should get from the market: eggs, tomatoes…”
It’s also used as the eyes in a smiley face :)
Semicolon (;) connects two complete thoughts that are related but could stand alone as separate sentences. It’s stronger than a comma but softer than a full stop.
An example is “Frank never apologized; he didn't think he was wrong”
It’s also used as the eyes in a winking face ;)
I was 6 weeks postpartum. I came in because sex felt like I was being cut open. I told the OB “Something is wrong. I’m in pain.” She didn’t even examine me properly. Just smiled and said “Well… childbirth changes things.”
Then she asked:
“Is your husband complaining?”
I said:
“No. I’m complaining.”
And she laughed like it was cute.
Later another doctor finally checked me and said quietly:
“You were stitched too tight.”
They didn’t “fix” me for my comfort.
They fixed me for a man’s.
It is completely acceptable, and often necessary, to leave a partner whose unmanaged mental health issues are destroying your own life. Society heavily guilt-trips people into staying with chronically depressed, financially reckless, or emotionally unregulated partners, telling them that leaving means they "abandoned someone at their lowest." You are a romantic partner, not a psychiatric facility. You are not obligated to completely set your own future on fire just to keep someone else warm.

Rest in Peace 🕊️
No breakup per se…
We just stopped talking.
Any small issue, he would disappear because he was “angry.” No communication, nothing.
Then he’ll come back later like nothing happened… or I’ll be the one to call.
The last time he disappeared, I disappeared too. And that was the end 🤷♀️😁
I have a co-worker who never announces anything. You don’t know she applied for a promotion until she’s already in the new office. You don’t realize she bought her own place until she casually mentions “heading home to finish painting.” She doesn’t post milestones. Doesn’t crowdsource opinions. Doesn’t invite commentary.
I used to think she was secretive. That success was supposed to be shared loudly. That excitement needed an audience.
Now I see it differently.
She moves with intention. Quiet. Focused. Certain. Her plans are protected while they’re still fragile. Her joy isn’t diluted by outside noise. She lets things grow roots before she shows the world the bloom.
It isn’t secrecy. It’s discernment. It’s peace. It’s self-trust.
Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who build their lives softly, without applause, and let their results speak when they’re ready.
the older i get, the more i realize it really is THAT deep. who you date, who you call a friend, what you watch, what you eat, where you work, what you speak over yourself. baby, all of it matters. energy is real. what you allow in your space, in your mind, and in your body
@instablog9ja There's this hausa name called KAUNA. It basically means more than love. Like the word is used when you love something too much that you cannot comprehend so Kauna comes in.
i saw a TikTok about a girl saying how she doesn't stay mad for long because either she's going to figure it out, or there's nothing that can be done about it. and as simple as that sounds is as simple as it is really
